So I'm making a deck based on this dragonite, sort of. I like that you can take 3 prize cards for knocking out an ex. I have 2 dratinis, 2 dragoniar, and 2 of the dragonite. The energy requirement is a lot so Im running 4 double dragon energy. The rest of the pokemon in the deck are grass and electric to match what the dragonite needs if I don't draw the double energy.
Now, should I add a 3rd dratini and dragoniar and then this other dragonite, so that I have a chance to heal?
I also have 3 eevees, 2 leafeons, and this leafeon lv x that I hold on my bench until there's enough ebergy in play to do sufficient damage. Problem is, I only have one so if it's in my prize cards, I'm screwed in that. Thoughts?

First of all, you should use legal cards.
Second, there's a TCG general. Use it.
Ok. is this card not legal? I wasn't aware. I don't really play competitively just with friends. Why is it not legal?

Its too old
Any Pokemon cards that are over 5 years old are mostly ban.
If your playing with a friend, you can play any Pokemon card you like, just can't use it for tournament.

There's a card shop where I live and they do competitions but I never go cause I don't want to get humiliated by a kid. I'm a 23 year old man

There people of all ages there, I'm 26 and go sometime with my wife.
But if your using a deck with pokemon cards that old, like a Leafeon, they will laugh at you.

Lol, I get you. It's a pretty sweet card, though for how old it is

It's pretty old, the TCG format doesn't even use Lv X pokemon anymore.
Leafeon way too strong for this format.
