I seldom come to /vp/, so I don't understand. Is this basically the same as those "it's time" threads over on /a/? Or is there legit discussion somehow? I may disagree with making Gardevoir threads into a general, but Gardevoir is most definitely a popular mon that gets a lot of threads.
Although, worthwhile discussion rarely happens, and if you spend basically anytime searching for art yourself, pretty much everything in these threads is old or a repost.
Thankfully, there's an artist who's drawing a lot of OC for these threads lately. If it wasn't for him, these threads would be slowly dying off due to lack of content and discussion.
I fear to think about how terrible these threads would be if he didn't draw art here, or when he eventually stops.

Exactly. Not everyone likes the idea of the dress being attached skin, so a good amount of artists draw it as a removable dress.
It allows artists to draw Gardevoir in other types of clothes like the OP image without having to worry about the dress making it look stupid.That, and it means that Gardevoir's body is a consistent and pure white when not wearing any clothes.

I wish it was like that for me. Please forgive me for autistically blogging a bit here but I need to confess my sin.I have a buddy who waifus Garde pretty hard and I like to jab him for it. He gets me on things too like being a weeaboo or a /k/ommando. But I'm probably an even worse Gardefag than he is, if in a different. From having a folder of nearly 3000 pics to using it as my avatar on nearly every site that has them. I have one on every team in every game, although it's usually male. Despite all of this, it's not mai waifu or even husbando. The real problem shows up in spin offs like Mystery Dungeon. Every time I play as a Gardevoir in the postgame and whenever a new one is announced, I anxiously hope Ralts will be a starter so I can vicariously be the gardevoir. I waifu Gardevoir, and have for over a year now. Not just infatuation or lust, I seriously waifu Gardevoir in the real definition of the word.
My Gardevoir collection has over 6500 images in it, most of which are SFW.Only partly because I've been too lazy to fully go through paheal.
I have a small amount of Gardevoir merch, have custom printed Gardevoir related stuff, and have been purchasing Gardevoir doujins for about a year.
And to top it all off, I actually own a custom printed Gardevoir dakimakura. I'm not too happy with the design I got, but it was the best design at the time. I'm thinking about commissioning an artist to make a good design and use that.
If I'm going to be an autistic Gardevoir waifufag, I might as well do a good job at it.
All that said though, I do try and keep my power level hidden. I can hold a conversation with others without needing to rant about my waifu or changing the subject to Gardevoir, and only my closer friends really know how deep the hole goes.

I was going to suggest an Animal Crossing type game, but if you're working in RPG maker, something similar to Harvest Moon would probably be better suited.
As long as the writing is really solid, and it has at least decent art, I'm sure people will play it.

Pixiv is your best bet, as long as you are willing to look past anything that escaped the filter.
Tumblr holds most western produce, but only if you're willing to chew through tons of refuse for one diamond in the rough.
Any specialised blogs or forums are a no-go, as they are essentially autism farms filled with reposts.

What >>24761683 said is pretty much correct, there's no real perfect site for finding art, it just depends on what type of art you want to find, and how much shit you're willing to sort through.
Pixiv is probably the best site, normally has a lot of good art, but isn't completely free from bad art either. Primarily eastern art.
Tumblr is the biggest site for western art, and while it's got bad art too, the main annoyance is ignore all the text post shit and RP faggotry you'll find.
Some Japanese artists also post sketches and stuff exclusively to twitter, so if you like an artist, consider seeing if they have a twitter account.
You could probably skip FurAffinity if you're not looking for NSFW stuff, but every so often someone posts an ok SFW picture there. Filled with terrible fetishes and furry stuff though.
DeviantArt occasionally has a few good pictures, but it's actually filled with more terrible fetish art and lack of skill then FA somehow. Good for finding uncropped resolution images though.
Nicovideo/Seiga is a smaller Japanese website that sometimes has some pictures that pixiv doesn't.
InkBunny is also a smaller website, similar to FA but with less frequent art posted, although there's a bit less fetishy shit in the Gardevoir tag.
And last of all, once in a blue moon, these Gardevoir threads will produce some OC that don't end up being posted to an external website.
I'm the guy who has collected 6500 images >>24752363 and the only real difference between someone with a smaller collection and someone with a larger collection is how actively they search for new art themselves instead of just waiting in these threads for it to come to them.

Gardevoir is faced somewhat to the side, instead of facing completely forward.
All that said, I doubt I could do better.
Not only because I can't draw boobs well, but also because fitting a decent sized pair of boobs onto Gardevoir's reasonably small torso would be pretty damn painful.
This is probably why so many artists draw Gardevoir with a more human-like torso, so it's easier make boobs look good.

What are some good things to practice for drawing Gardevoir? I've been drawing feral pokemon all day to get used to this new tablet, my end goal is to be able to draw Gardevoirs somewhat easily.

Just gotta roll with it man. Just try to draw a basic image of 'mon Gardevoir, then move on to different poses as yougit gudsee fit. Then just go from there, practice and improv until you feel bretty gud about it. Coming from a non-art guy, my advice will probably sound pointless, but hey.

I honestly have no clue how to draw Gardevoir, or anything with a human-like figure, so I've just been practicing with easy shit. I still need to get used to to using a tablet, so I don't think it's a very good idea to just jump right into drawing Gardevoirs.

Nonsence.If you keep at it, you might be able to draw god-like Gardevoirs one day. I suggest working on skeleton work of characters so you can understand the different structures of body types.
Don't be afraid to draw Gardevoir too early, it's a good thing to start early so you can understand the lines of the character better. You can do it, anon!

That's looking really good! I know it's a work in progress, but here are some things I'd personally like to see:
1. Sharpen up the textures of the head and hair, it looks a bit blurred.
2. Clean up the neck, there's some strange coloring and clipping there.
3. Round up the ears a bit, Gardevoirs tend to look cuter when they don't have spears for ears c:

Breast are difficult to model, but so are most organic things because humans are so good at seeing when the smallest things are off. You just aren't modeling the breast, you're modeling how the breast blends into the torso.
Here's my NSFW Gardevoir attempt. I'm not very happy with it, especially the armpit area. I'm not a character modeler, so doing organic figures is quite difficult.

One of Gardevoir's defining features is how slim and slender it's body build is.
Adding massive boobs completely ruins that, and conflicts so badly with the body type.
Just looks at so many of JCDR's sketches and images, he tries to add stupidly big boobs without changing the body type too much, and it looks like an anatomical nightmare.
Oppai and Gardevoir just do not mix, unless you're willing to destroy the build even further by just drawing the body of a human, and at that point why are you even drawing a Gardevoir?

In that render the dress in .25mm thin, so no, it wouldn't hold up too well. That being said, it's more than possible to print a thin gown. Anything with a thickness of more than 1.2mm is sufficient.

It's possible. Pic related are some raw prints I did ages ago. Note, those are raw prints right off the build plate. Since taking those pictures, I've put a lot of work into smoothing and finish the prints. The gown is 1.2mm thick.
