As for Gen VI
Iron Fist Fire Punch has the same power that Flamethrower. Flare Blitz is even stronger than Fire Blast.
This said, Iron Fist Infernape with Fire, Thunder and Mach Punch could work factoring Swords Dance. But Infernape is better just dishing out things like Close Combat and Overheat right off the bat.

Flare Blitz is better. Recoil or not. It's 120 BP vs 90 BP. The math just isn't there for Fire Punch.

The whole point of Infernape is to either use its great movepool to hit lots of shit and thus not lock yourself into one move, or to be a fast RKiller and Pivot with a Scarf

Scarf CC or Flare Blitz does at least around 40-60% to most threats (96/0 Manaphy, Zard X, Clefable), and those three have a good bit of bulk. It can RK offensive threats pretty well with its good coverage.
Iron fist should get a buff to 1.5 instead of 1.2

You do realize ALL THREE examples you just gave are slower than Infernape unscarfed, right? You want to maximize his offensive output so he gets a better chance at OHKO/2HKO because he does NOT have the bulk to take more than one fucking hit, he probably can't even take that if you are attempting an RK.
Scarf is a bad idea. Your best bet is to go Jolly with a Band or Orb and not send him out if you know the opponent is faster.

I just wanted to say that Scarf is a good pivot and RKer of faster threats, Band is okay in UU but doesn't hit hard enough in OU, and LO is much better than band shit because you can't use your good coverage
but yeah LO is better than Scarf which is better than fucking Band
if you wanna Band just use Dragonite or Scizor or Crawdaunt
