We've been through this already, gamefreak is incompetent when it comes to 3d and optimization.
KH3D was proof of this. There should be no way pokemon battles are dipping below 30 fps when they are doing nothing more than idle animation and stock moves. While battles in KH3D are basically going at Devil may cry/Bayonetta speed.
Super Mystery Dungeon looking overall better than the 3d mainline games is not that big of a feat.
