Pure Fighting-types are a dime a dozen, being part Steel makes Lucario stand out more, since the only other Pokemon with that type combination is Cobalion.
And with the metal spikes sticking out of it, I could buy that Lucario's bones are metal.
Now if you really want a Steel-type that doesn't look like a Steel-type, look no further than Jirachi.

Jirachi's based on a wishing star, thus related to asteroids which composed of metals. It's indeed far-fetched, but not forced as lucario.

I love how Jirachi uses strategy out of all of the Steel types. There are 2 sets of moves I use when having a Jirachi
Set 1:
Thunder
Calm Mind
Substitute
Wish
I like this set especially since if you hit the enemy with the Lightning strike it has a 60% chance of paralyzing, but this would only be used during gen 3 when it would never stop raining.
Set 2:
Iron Head
Body Slam
Substitute
Wish
This set would normally be used past Gen 3 the strategy would be body slam if the Pokemon before Jirachi goes faster with the speed stat. Even the substitute if you want defense, although there are infiltrators that you will hate the most. Including cockblocker Ground Types.
I don't know why, I just love Jirachi. It's so adorable I want tohugit.
