Funny you mention, Weavile's been my favourite since its introduction. To make a long story short, Diamond/Pearl was the game I went back to Pokémon. Had a lot of fun. But I learned about competitive stuff like IV's and EV's and shit, and I started getting interested in stats instead of just looks.
Used not to give a damn about BST. Now I'm kind of obsessed with IV's/EV's. Wish I could stop giving a shit now.M-MUH POKEYMANS MUST BE PERFECT
Anyway. So I always liked things that were quick and hit hard and looked neat. Asked friend what he thought and he showed me a bunch. I selected a few, thinking of building myself a neat team with decent stat spread.
That's basically when Weavile became my favourite Pokémon. Ever since, I've been a sucker for all glass cannons.

the design of this thing just hits my sweetspot. love the colors, typing, small size, large ears and it's smug-ass, yet cute face.
also, i pretty much only play doubles, where it is very useful without being as obscene as it is in singles. seed flare combined with high speed and special attack can leave noticeable dents in many situations. drop is a nice bonus, but it's only a little more reliable than air slash flinches, which i find quite overrated.
judging from smogon's recent ban though, i probably was wrong. i think i can see why they did this, since if you try to rely primarily on it's haxx potential it's literally dice roll: the pokemon that can cause massive frustration for it's user and the opponent alike.
in spite of this, i can't help but be frustrated i can no longer use my favorite pokemon without feeling guilty. a part of me wishes for a nerf.

At first I liked it because of him being Giovanni's "main" Pokémon.
Later I tried it on a Nuzlocke run on FL/LF. Loved the motherfucker with that high speed. Won the E4 with it.

It's a pair of keys that wins at pokemon, and making your opponent feel silly for losing to a pair of keys is always a plus.

shes been my main ever since I caught her in black 2, the game that brought me back to pokemon. ever since then, we've been kicking all types of ass, from the main game, to showdown, and when her mega evolution became a thing, it just cemented my love for this bitch by a thousand. also, I always name her playboy, just a thing I've been doing with her since the beginning.

Also, second favorite is hypno. yeah, I know theres a bunch of psychic types better at doing the job then hypno, but this fucker was with me way back, when I first started playing fire red. I just hate when faggots have there bullshit "HURR DURR PEDOMON HURR" bullshit.
It's strong, it's bulky, has an epic design and it's part dark type which is my favorite type.

Saw it while playing through sapphire first time and i immediately knew I had to have it. Had one in every game since.

She got me through a really rough time and the memory of flying through the game with such a cool pokemon makes it so that I can't help but love her more than anything. Plus, how fucking cool is a ghost/fire type?

Cubone is the perfect combination of cute and nuclear power, with a thick club. I remember spamming thief on wild cubones in leaf green to get that item. After way too long, I finally got it when I had my dog's paw press the A button to select thief.

I don't remember the exact point when I gained interest in it, but I guess the Prankster ability caught my attention. I didn't use Whimsicott until I decided to breed a competitive one.
This little nigga went to town on Battle Spot. Smogon teams showed up left and right, and Whimsy would take them all out one by one incredibly slowly. I get you guys hate stall, but I'm a bad person, and I care about my enjoyment instead of your own.
When AG hit the showdown scene, I could use six of the little niggas to surprisingly great effect. I could beat every team of 6 Klefki with just one Whimsy. It suits my playstyle, and it slowly became my favorite pokemon.
And let's not ignore the obvious: it's adorable.

I was playing firered as my first pokemon game. All of my pokemon I used were slow as shit. Then I got a doduo, It was sanic speed, and was the only one I leveled up on my first run. Dodrio is the only reason why I play NU.

I evolve, since marowak is still really cool and it's still the same pokemon that I've caught and trained. I just call them cubone for favorite things since that's what they are when I first get them.

Fighting type that isn't designed to be huge, muscled and bulky looking, simple colors and pattern that still looks pretty, cool sounding concept for how it fights, is a fucking weasel, actually useful ingame with unique roles it can fill.

I love ghost stories. I also loved ghost Pokemon. Gen 1 ghosts were cool, but I really wanted more. I found Misdreavus one time while exploring Mt. Silver and I was instantly attached. Banshees were also my favorite type of ghost. Later ghost types were also awesome, but Misdreavus always wins in the qt3.14 department.
