Dying by any means, then a Lampent comes by and consumes your soul. You'd hope to get reunited with lost friends and family members in the afterlife, only to experience momentary hellish damnation before your existence ceases forever because a cheeky ghost didn't like the kibble given to him.
What's the Pokemon that sucks your soul out for eternity of torment or whatever? I can't remember it's probably Gen4 or 5. I know Shedinja can kill you or something, was it Chandelure. Anyway it was some edgy stuff.

Ghost, fairy and psychic types are practically made for some Ito stories
Definitely Chandelure.
At least with normal Pokemon the suffering ends when your body croaks, while other ghost types just send your soul elsewhere or give you the mercy of oblivion when snacking on you.
Chandelure is different. It uses your soul as fuel, but then tosses the leftovers aside. You end up as some kind of hollow shell of a spirit doomed to aimlessly wonder the world forever.
