Reminder that if you don't play with Battle Style Set, you're a pleb
>>24668633
Alright I don't have my battle style put on Set. Next you're gonna tell me to switch battle style off because surely there are better ways to spend our time in the game and spare us from watching 2 to 3 seconds of battle animations?
Wow anon, you sure showed me.
>>24668658
Don't tell me you set the text speed to fast
>>24668658
You're welcome to play the game at inferior settings, just don't complain about a lack of difficulty
Battle Animations should always be on because without them you might as well go play Solitaire
>>24668658
This made me 'Hmmmmmm'...
I think you like detective shows and finding out how things work.

set :^)
>>24668673
ALL of this.
Old timers play, with set on, no experience share, text speed fast and only six mons. You can play it any other way you like, but don't bitch about anything.
>>24668672
Hell if I know. I play at whatever text speed it's set by default, which I'll assume is MID since I rarely bother to check. Don't see the point going into options unless I want to change frame styles or use another type of button mode.
>>24668673
Maybe I do. Maybe I don't. That's the fun part of the mystery.
>>24668673
It's not all that inferior and feels like a logical setting choice if you ask me. If I have the chance to switch out during that pause, I might as well switch if desired and not waste a turn doing it instead. Only part I can understand is that this default setting spoils the next pokemon to be sent out by the opponent. Not sure why they haven't added a third option to allow switching out in-between battles but still keep the opponent's pokemon a secret until it's sent out for us to see. Either way you are free to switch to set if you feel it adds to the difficulty. I just don't believe it's making it 'harder' but more like making it feel more annoying. So I keep it on that default setting.

You're getting a free switch out AND preview of your opponent's mon every time they send one out. Of course set is harder, with shift you're basically cheating.
>>24668686
If you have way more than six pokemon and rotate between frequently them the game is actually more challenging.
>>24668672
Why on fucking earth would you want to wait for the text to scroll out at a snail's pace
seriously, why the fuck
are you illiterate
have you never read a book in your life
is this post sarcastic and I'm only getting it now?
it probably is
fuck me sideways

>>24668763
Not the same anon but oh good lord fucking lord. They tell you the next pokemon as they are giving you a chance to switch? This shit must be a walk through the park.
Not like I'm always going to have something to counter every damn pokemon on their team. If they tell me hell that is fine. I'll probably won't even be paying attention or caring since it's not giving me THAT much of an advantage you're implying.
>He uses battle effects
>>24668787
There's no need to get indignant just because you play the game on easy mode, just be sure you never complain about a lack of difficulty
>>24668633
it's only for speed runs. not good for nuzlockes and just about anything fun/challenging.
>>24668633
I thought everyone does it, since it makes more sense. Woah, no wonder babies keep whining about the difficulty.
>>24668765
>>24668633
Switching is for pussies.
>>24668633
Set is pointless with new experience mechanics around. I actually prefer Switch now.
>>24669915
How is Set pointless?
