Considering game freak themselves have admitted that Mega Kangaskhan is a bit overkill, how would you nerf it?
I'll start:
>if baby kang has half mama kang's attack, it could be argued that it's essentially half as powerful. In this case, when Mega Kang's HP drops below half, baby kang faints. Can't be revived by drain punch/rest/whatever recovery as this is done by mama kang and only restores her.
>confusion damage hits twice
>if asleep or frozen, both kangs have an independent sleep wake/thaw chance

Source?

Lower the second hit's damage to 25%, remove the second chance of inflicting a secondary effect (like Ice Punch having 20% of freezing instead of 10%). Confusion hitting twice is neat, so that too.

The problem is that GF nerfed a bunch of the elemental moves without nerfing everything else high-powered, thinking there wouldn't be consequences. This gets doubled down by the -ate moves, which create a big power gap.
I would strip all these boosts.
Aerilate, Refrigerate, & Pixilate lose 30% boost.
Tough Claws drops to a 10% boost for contact moves but provides a +1 accuracy boost in general. That'd make Aero's Stone Edge always hit and give Char-X the reliable option of Dragon Rush and assure Meta's ZH and MM always hit.
Parental Bond now only applies to Normal-type attacks, with the first hit doing 80% and the second hit doing 40%.
Hurricane and Focus Blast drop to 110 BP.

>make mega kang
>people claim they're going to nerf it because they realised they made an incredibly overpowered piece of shit
>next game they go and make mega salamence
>people still think this
game freak doesn't give two fucks about competitive balance anon
>>24630437
the second punch shoudnt be able to trigger secondary effects. (read only one attack boost after power up punch)
that might already be enough

The devs themselves acknowledge they fucked up with Kang and said they are going to fix it next gen. Also, Salamence isn't as ridiculous as Kang, at least not in VGC, the only format they care about.

>megas
>balanced
>wait, one specific mega is imbalanced
GF r u high?
>>24631221
To be fair, unlike other recent developments they did actually try to put big limits on it.
How to fix
>Lineage Orb
>Activates Primal Alpha Pack Kangaskhan
>Its form is a Horde battle where all the mini Kangs have 75% the stats of Main Khan.
>Cannot damage any mini Kangs without first KO'ing Alpha Khan
>>24631341
Wait, I just realized this is a completely retarded idea.
The Leader is protected, you have to kill all 5 Mini Kangs first before even touching the leader, unless you have infiltrator or Lock On or that ability with the voice.
>>24631341
>>24631353
It's still retarded. 75% of Main Khan's stats? Come on, dude.
>>24631357
Just a boosted EQ or surf or something. On a turn where you take 5 sucker punches. Dont seem too OP. And now they each have their own stats so you cant double power up punch.
What makes her overpowered again?
>>24631457
Parental Bond.
>>24631461
>>24631457
Because it gets a huge boost in power, some bulk, a little speed, and one of the best abilities in the game. Unlike most megas.

Just finishing up Gen V after a long Poke hiatus, and still wondering about this XY difference.
Why is Mega Kangaskhan allowed? How'd it get the green light, yet I hear about other megas under performing.
>mfw spamming Seismic Toss M-Kangaskhan on bank meta right after XY came out
>>24632747
Some things wind up undertuned, some wind up overtuned. This is the nature of all games where both sides aren't perfectly equal. Kanga wound up winning out on that particular roulette.
