It actually has more Special Defence than anything else you mention there, and more attack than any of them apart from Darmanitan (who dies to a faint breeze)
In general it's worse than any of them, but there isn't a single fire-type Pokémon that completely outclasses it in every single way. Plus, Toxic+Guts can be fun, although it rarely lasts more than a turn or two.

Guts-Boosted Flareon can technically be stronger than all of those things with Facade, Flare Blitz, Superpower andBite for Candleand it can also run an interesting SpDef Cleric set if you're silly but not stupid, desu~

I use it in OU on a team with a bunch of wallbreakers. It does pretty ok with a niche of Flame Charge + Baton Pass.

In-game it can be fully-evolved early on without missing out on moves.
I recently had a Flareon as early as level 10 in X and he steamrolled the game. So there's that.
Anyone care to add to in-game pros?
I like Flareon for odd builds.
In my eevee team I have a Jolly Guts Flareon with Toxic orb. Does fine with physical moves, mainly facade and rest/sleep talk. The 4th I usually run something that boost a stat. Can't remember from the top of my head, but that flame thing that boost speed.
