Eh, they're neat, and it's still exciting to randomly encounter one in the wild, but they've become so common in gen 6 that I'm seriously considering just breeding up a complete shiny living dex for shits and giggles. I've had four random shinies pop out on me while I was breeding for stats and the last one I went for a shiny on I got on literally the first egg.

Never thought anything special of shinies; even upon the novel moment of my first encounter, I immediately had no interest.
In complete irony, I'm also an obsessive git with legit assburgers too. I really just don't see shinies anything greater than a different coloration of pixels...
Hatched a pink Dratini like a year ago. At first I thought it was just a female cause it was pink. Right nature too which was cool. Friend got really pissed. He's almost 21 and still hasn't found a shiny.

Mfw my first shiny was the Pokemon I was looking to complete my team, just at the first encounter.
I've only seen one once, and it was on an emulator.

I don't get why are people who doesn't like shinies. Is like the designer just draw ALL mons with the colors they like. I mean, some shinies doesn't look better than their original, but some does, and people has tastes, so some "ugly" shinies likes to some people too.
Wasn't the guys with a shiny Charizard back in Gen II/III the coolest guys in your class? Then there was the other guy with a shiny Lionne that wasn't too different than its original and nobody cared.
Im not talking about having all your mons shiny, just the one you like or think that it looks better.

I don't really like using shinies. I have a shiny noivern that I use because I got it while hacking shinies on x and y couldn't be done yet. Most pokemon look better in their non-shiny form.
