Emulators are only good to play the main story. There's no point in do the archaic EV training of Gen 3 when Gen 6 Super Training and Hordes exists.
Collect ribbons and transfer pokémon up is pretty pointless too if you're not in the cart. Just my opinion.

The only advice I can give you is have something on to watch while breeding and hatching because holy shit Eevee eggs take forever and a day to hatch.

I took a break from MMing Zoolander here to sweet scent the shit out of a couple of routes to see if I can get a shiny trophy mon. I got three. A pink Mareep that is now named Fairy Floss and in a heal ball, Don the purple/pink Murkrow in a master ball, and Skoruby, the scorupi in a premier ball.
