I'm a Hoennfag, and it might be just a location thing, but no friend of mine chose Blaziken. Everyone got either Sceptile or Swampert. As a matter of fact, i didn't even know it was supposedly popular until Speed Boost got released. I've always found it as a pretty niche pokemon overall. It doesn't help that most of the fanart i see from it is porn.
