Blue mentions that news about the asteroid has overshadowed the news of Archie and Maxie's robbery, but Red and Blue notice that the men seem to look funny when she mentioned 'asteroid'. The two men Mega Evolved their Sharpedo and Camerupt to attack (Archie mentioned that they must be excited to be back in their home region), which Red and Blue countered with their Mega Venusaur and Blastoise.

They're personalities are suddenly like their ORAS versions (calm intellectual Maxie and agressive Archie) which is the opposite of their Special versions in RS (Maxie was the dumb thug while Archie was the smart one). In fact, Maxie was shown in a flashback in this very arc where he still acted like his RS self, so the contrast is intentional.
In the RS manga Archie never had Sharpedo (for some reason only Matt had him), his main was Walrein, but here he suddenly has Mega Sharpedo.
Furthermore, the pair don't seem to know what Pokedex Holders are.
And of course, their own subordinates notice how different they are and say "who are you?"
