Used Machamp in my Alpha Sapphire run recently, a fighting type would be good, but I've used Hariyama on my first ever Ruby run, Medicham on Pearl and Machamp on Red, Crystal, Leaf Green and Alpha Sapphire.
I was thinking Primape if a fighting type.

Playing White 2 too, on Victory Road. Reuniclus is dogshit and I regret training him. I wanted to use Carracosta but it's only avaliable on post-game, like Lanturn, so I grabbed a Starmie. Also wanted to have some pokémon with HA abilities but Hidden Grotto is awful, with only 20% chance to get pokémon, and the good ones with 1%, maybe 2%. And if you don't get a pokémon, there's only a 5% chance for that Hidden Grotto regenerate.
At this point I just want to beat everything with Infernape and go straight catch my favorites. After all I'm just playing this for the PWT.

The first part of X and Y I played were super good.
The time between the second and third gym was massive and I played with the same naïve excitement that I did when I played Blue and Gold for the first time it was great.

I used to name them all after MGS characters, but now just some. And I always name my starter Big Boss.
Soami- A kind of play on words. An alternate name I use on online games.
Recusant- There was a quote from DDD I really liked. "As your flesh, bears the sigil, your name will be known as that...of a recusant."
Big Boss- My favorite vidya character.
Big Guy- A somewhat obvious ongoing Dark Knight Rises joke.

Bored of romhacks and randomizers so I decided to do a normal run of Silver for a change. Names are dice games. I'm about to face Morty right now, I grinded a bit because I wanted to have a Machoke just in case even though he won't be of much use, so I did the lighthouse's trainers and whatnot. I'm still thinking of what water type I want, since it has to be able to get Waterfall too.

Why did so many water pokemon in gen 2 not learn Waterfall? It's complete shit. Chinchou is great though, Lanturn pulls its weight and learns waterfall. Quagsire too IIRC, if you caught one.
I used Lanturn a couple times in a row not long ago, so meh. I'm probably gonna go for Dewgong, I'm pretty sure it should learn Waterfall. Also Ice STAB will rekt Lance.

no dude, you get the keys from clearing the hall of fame in each game. Challenge Key from Black 2, Easy Key from White 2. Then you can send a copy of said key to another copy of White/Black 2 and enable it.
Easy key apparently lowers trainer pokemon levels and sets their AI to wild pokemon level.
Challenge increases the levels, starting from just 1 going up to 5 as you progress, also Gym Leaders and elite four have an extra pokemon. I also think their AI is smarter.
Is it harder? Kinda but not really. Basically don't be surprised if the AI pulls a fast one on you but other than that, it's just higher level pokemon.

Ok I just started my OR run a few days ago. I understand ORAS are the latest games but should I really transfer my xy pokes there? I've never really cared for the remakes but considering ORAS has more megas than XY, I had to think about it.
I've always considered the remakes as some sort of "side games" to accompany the uhhh, "main line". But right now, ORAS seems more like a sequel to XY than a side game.

I don't know, he learned Confusion during the Elite four, and I decided that Mud Slap was too shit to keep. It's not like Noctowl learns much else before Kanto's TMs, and even with them frankly. All I did was use Hypnosis and spam Take Down anyway.

Got lot of money from not battling every trainer and preserving them for Amulet Coin greed and grinding. Golduck, Milotic, Girafarig, Relicath were also EVs trained since I'm going to transfer them on Platinum. Pelipper is a little a mixed bag and Masquerain had some wrong EVs too but majority is spread correctly.
I like Hoenn as a region but holy shit playing Ruby or Sapphire is such a pain, no breeding tools, no tutors, shit villain teams and unevolved mons, fucking limited regional pokemon dex. I'm doing my 5th run (I think so, had probably double the cap gameplay time showed in Ruby before restarting it too) with Pokemon I have almost never used in the main ingame runs and the physical/special split issues summed to level up movepool issues is an impressive cockblocker.
Also with this run I think I've tried all the avaible mons in Hoenn, as in I'm not going to use a fucking empty slot called Dustox or Beautifly in a game previous to Gen 5 or Gen 6.
Run on Black with no favourites not grinding no evolution rules. Just got third badge.

I've been thinking about whether or not to new game my Heart Gold. I use it to get legendary Pokemon (and then of course edit the IVs via Action Replay before I transfer them up to ORAS because fuck soft resetting and idk how to inject) but I've pretty much gotten everything I could want/need.
