I like AG's humor better. AG's atmosphere was very similar to the OS, obviously because it came directly after, but it still had the focus on battles with Ash evolving his pokemon, May being consistently developed and Contests, as well.
Also Brock and Team Rocket were still funny in AG, which is more than you can say for what they became after.

What kind of personality do you like then? I'm honestly curious. May probably had the perfect blend of all the females personality traits, because she could be both girly and tomboyish at the same time, she was feisty and cute, she could be badass or clumsy.
Honestly I thought May had the best balanced personality of them all. I mean I also really liked Dawn, Serena, and pre-Johto Misty, but May takes the cake.

im that anon. I still didnt start watching the subs until kalos. I didn't know about the subs being so much better than the dubs till unova ended. I always knew the dubs were god awful since the new voice actors came in the middle of the battle frontier. Unova is too god awful that it isnt worth my time trying to watch the subs at this point. The only reason id consider it is to see how sexy elesa was in the episode of her show since apparantly the dubs took that scene off

mega evolving and just evolving are two completely different things. You can at least choose whether or not your pokemon will or will not mega evolve. Don't forget, Korrina just expects lucario to do his own thing by just yelling, "HIT!HIT!HIT!" she learned the hard way that its a dumb strategy and almost cried about it. When she finally learns to strategize she loses. Also it doesnt matter if pikachu lost before to lucario. If lucario gains so much more strength and speed as it mega evolves, and still loses to a pikachu who was already hurt before in battle after it quickly took down both hawlucha and hinoyakoma, then it shows lucario sucks. korrinas lucario made me start hating lucarios since they are actually overrated. Korrina in general is just a terrible trainer since she doesn't really help lucario with what to do until the gym match where she lost.

Having Serena and Clemont's Pokemon interact seems to be just a way to give them SOME kind of connection. The two have little interaction and don't even seem like friends half of the time. It's almost as bad as Brock was with Dawn

when your pokemon just evolves, thats alright because you can't change that, it chooses to get stronger by evolving for you, but when you willingly use a lucarionite to mega evolve your lucario to fight pikachu even though he beat pikachu previously, it comes around like saying, oh i cant beat you, i need to mega evolve it and make it an unfair advantage since i can just choose to mega evolve it since you can't. its steroids for a pokemon. Even if Lucario and korrina were trying a new strategy by giving commands more often, don't you think its the same for ash? he always tries new strategies to beat his opponents, but add in a mega pokemon who powers up even more, and still loses? both korrina and lucario are god awful as a trainer and gym leader. Look at the other gym leaders, they dont need to use mega evolution to beat and defend their gym, korrina does. It shows she cant win without it. dude, lucario was barely affected by flame charge which is also a weak fire type attack mainly meant for rasing your speed. It took an iron tail thats 4x's weaker to a steel and fighting type, and still lost after all of his attacks failed against pikachu at the end. now think, bone rush to the head vs iron tail which is barely effective at all, and yet pikachu wins. pikachu is strong but obviously mega lucario is stronger. it shows how bad mega lucario and korrina are overall.

Then the rest of those 52 episodes are dedicated to one or two Tripokalons, the Master Class, Honedge's capture, Wulfric's gym battle and introduction, the Kalos League episodes, and whatever else the writers decide to throw at us.

Dragon ball Z and Super are different series, they take place in different times and have different plotlines and characters. For XYZ it's the same timeline, same characters, same story, same location, same gen of the games, same everything. We get a new series when we go to a new region, not just because some marketing wacko adds an artificial label
XYZ is just XY with a Z tacked on because the writers are desperate to boost ratings. It's all a cheap marketing gimmick and you all fell for it
