What the hell, this game is complete trash. A 6 at best.
The exploration is limited, the Pokewalker gimmick is trash, the early route Pokemon suck and there's certain shit you gotta do at certain times, the entire map is just empty and lifeless, the gym leaders require useless grinding, 2D sprites are used numerous times, drawback distance is horrendous, lackluster in terms of platforming, little amount of sidequests, multiple plot holes in story, your rival is an idiot, puzzles are either piss easy or piss hard, in game fights...

they made it marginally better in B2W2 by adding a paved road and join avenue but even then it looks out of place
It was the good kind of linear. Side areas and rotues that were fleshed out at the loss of exploration is fine by me

I've bought Black and Black 2 and this board seems to like those games. What should i expect? why is it good? from the first look, the graphics pretty much disappoints.

In Black you will have only gen V pokemon, while Black2 has a more varied pokedex and is a direct sequel.

If you combined all of your playtime on every mainline pokemon game throughout your entire life, how many hours/days do you think it would amount to?
For me I think it would be 1,000+ days, back when I was young I played my favorites over and over and over all day and I could beat most of the games in less than 15 hours, depending on whether or not I was taking my time and which game it was. (everything after Diamond/Pearl has taken significantly longer to beat the story).
It's only in the last few years that I have cooled down to a pace of doing full playthroughs...
