It's a Pokemon game marketed towards smart-phone gamers. It's marketed towards the people who played Red/Blue as kids, and grew out of Pokemon.
It's literally a Pokemon game for non-Pokemon-fans.

Idea: After living off a diet of steel ants, Heatmor evolves and gains the Fire/Steel type itself. Durant on the other hand, evolves into a Fire type. . . somehow, and is now a "fire ant".
