I didn't enjoy Unova the first time around. Honestly, I can't even remember anything from BW2.

BW2, at least it has more than just Unovamons
I didn't enjoy my Unova experience either and regard it as the worst point in the series with chronological game advancements in mind. BW2 at least has a better dex and stuff like the PWT. I tried replaying White the other day and lost interest after Elesa/4th gym.

Does anyone find it vaguely sexist that Gamefreak kept 'Red' as the final boss in HGSS irrespective of the gender you assign to your playable character?
It wouldn't be nearly as problematic if FRLG was never created. But FRLG changed the canon so that the legendary trainer who defeated Team Rocket, beat the E4 and became the Champion could have identified as a boy OR a girl. So if you select Lyra in HGSS, presumably you selected Leaf in FRLG, so the final boss you should meet in Mt Silver is actually Leaf. Gamefreak is basically retconning the game's continuity by keeping Red as the fixed final boss.
FRLG didn't change anything. Red was still the canon protag of those games.
Poor Vaporeon. It didn't evolve fins to be subjected to that kind of treatment. Please release that darling creature into a more comfortable environment for it, and everything will be all right.

Revenge. If you have No Guard, Vital Throw's only benefit does nothing for you, and revenge does more damage most of the time.
