They've never scrapped battle mechanics before, and they're not going to start now, especially after they've already made over 40 of them.
There's no turning back, Megas are a permanent part of the franchise now.

What's your Pokemon related guilty pleasure, /vp/? Mine is probably the way contests are done in the anime. I still find them really entertaining.That and forum RolePlaying but most out there these days are garbage and die in three months so it's been years since I've gotten to do it.

Probably the fact that its signature move, Sunsteel Strike, sounds like a physical move. If that wasn't enough, the gameplay footage showed Solgaleo slamming into a Slamence.

Chimecho.
I used it in a Pearl run, where I wanted to use things I liked but had never used before.
Empoleon/ Staraptor/ Sudowoodo/ Mismagius/ Carnivine/ Chimecho.
It was completely outclassed by Mismagius. It's forced baby stage was way more obnoxious than Bonsly's to train. And did less that "My only good move is Powerwhip" Carnivine
I was expecting some low performers in that team. But it was the only one to disappoint.

Also Mightyena too, cool design but shit stats, not even its HA saves it from being horrible.
