GOD DAMNIT
This is pretty fucking stupid, like the rest of /vp/.
How does this make you feel?
Happy.

Sad.
I've been watching the Easy Allies Pokemon discussion and it's really got me back into pokemon. I want to play a new one but I'm wondering which one I should play. I have played:
>Blue
>Yellow
>Gold
>Ruby
>Fire Red
>Heart Gold
Which one do you think I should play now, I was thinking either Diamond/Pearl or Black/White.
I don't really care about the story, I just want to see new pokemon and do some battles and evolving. I won't do any trading/online battles.

First of all your gonna wanna get the good Hoenn experience and play Emerald.
Next your off to your journey through Sinnoh, but not in Diamond/Pearl. No, instead play Platinum to get the true Sinnoh experience.
Next is Unova which you can make your choice of and afterwards you have a sequel to explore.
And although it may be the weakest I would still say Kalos is worth a visit to.
Have fun OP

>good Hoenn
>Hoenn
>good
Don't listen to this nostalgiafag, OP.
>>26888834
I was only noticing that OP had only played ruby and was suggesting to get a better experience in the region.
Sweet bait though. I swallowed it whole.
I just got Alpha Sapphire after skipping the original gen 3 way back when, and being the edgelord I am I want to use Absol as my main pokemon, next to my Swampert. Should I catch one or breed one, and if breed, what's a good way to do that? I've never really done breeding aside from getting starters to trade. Any advice would be appreciated.
>>26888744
Inject it :^)
>>26888799
I'd like to avoid hacks. Takes all the fun away.
>>26888744
do you have another pokemon game you can transfer an absol from?
If so, just absol + ditto/pokemon that can breed with absol + daycare
remember that if you use a pokemon that's not a ditto, the absol has to be female
I want to do a run of Pokemon Y where all six of my teammates are chosen by you guys. I'm allowing you to specify essentially anything you want about the Pokemon you choose. You can determine the nature and characteristic, ability, moveset, when I get it (if not from the start), how I treat it, how I battle with it, what item it holds... you get the idea by now.
If you have any questions or suggestions about how I do this run, I'm all ears. Get creative, because I'm choosing the first six replies. GO!

Use a Spearow, it's one of my favorite mons.
If you really hate that idea, then use an Eevee, and evolve it into whatever you want.
>>26888703
female combed, but never evolve her
What's the best pokemon? Non legendary.
nice thinly veiled porn thread OP

An answer to my question?
>There is no hidden power fairy
I know it has to do with IVs, but they couldn't just throw fairy in there?
that's not how IVs work
Serena in general
Pokemon scattered all over the boxes and not ordered to each other
With games like Xenoblade and Zelda getting new games featuring a vast world to explore, when do you think Pokémon will gain one? Every single Pokémon, absolutely no event items needed to capture some, and so much more...
Also post what you would want from this kind of game
>>26888380
This shit is my dream.
Fuck the naysayers. I love open world exploration. Pretty much all of the fun I had in Xenoblade X came from just dicking around on the map (not like the combat was doing anything for me), and the new Zelda looks insanely good, the first time I've ever been hyped for a Zelda.
Biggest issue is they'd have to really carefully rethink some main mechanics like level curve and gym progression. They'd probably also have to heavily incorporate pokemon usage in the overworld in a non-lazy way to make it both thematically appropriate and actually interesting to explore.
Pretty much every facet of the franchise would need to be reconsidered, which would be great, but it's gamefreak we're talking about. I doubt they'd do that.
Massive EMPTY world
Come back when you have massive cities with more than twelve buildings

Honestly, I'd prefer something like Xenoblade that would allow you to search all over the world for pokemon in a big open environment, with rare pokemon being ones that are only available in certain hard to reach locations rather than being rare spawns, with legends being the rare spawns that only show up under particular conditions. You'd have to do something like set up a lightning rod during a thunderstorm to reactivate a dormant power plant to bring Zapdos down out of a nearby cave that is blocked off by a lightning barrier otherwise so you can't just fly into it, and various similar things relevant to other pokemon.
Beyond that, remove the level restrictions based on badges and have the gym leaders scale dynamically based on your level so that they're always a couple of levels ahead of you (or artificially inflated if you grind to max level) so that they're *always* a tough challenge, and do something similar for the villains, with their plots/schemes being triggered by various criteria as sort of a side-by-side to your rising through the ranks as a pokemon trainer, so you don't have to punctuate every gym with an evil team event, but rather you can grind out half the gyms before you're required to do their first mission, and then another four before you have to take on another, then you can complete the E4/Champ gauntlet and if you do before snuffing the bad guys out, their dialogue will change to something more serious now that they're facing the champ and their missions being at a very high level.
Pretty much make level caps irrelevant and untether the villains from the gym circuit so you can do either/or at whatever time you prefer, and make the players actually *earn* the rare pokemon by hunting them down instead of just mindless random encounters. It's entirely doable, but Gamefreak never will, because they're too set on keeping the status quo and cranking out an easy to make game every year to rake in cash instead of doing what fans want.
Why are they so shit, /vp/?
No these are the forms that are decent. The original forms are the ones that are shit because they are literally copy paste.
I unironically think the genie forms are cool
>>26888086
I like the premise that two of them are assholes but the orange ground one is nice and helpful.
I just wish they didn't have mustaches, especially in their animal forms. Maybe it's because they distract from their angry yellow eyes wich I think are neat.

I'm starting to feels sorry for the poor thing. Everybody is bullying it. I might pick it instead of Litten.
How do you guys manage to still play these games? I'm on here everyday but whenever I start a run the monotony and grinding bores me.
I'm kinda with you there. I post and talk on here but I've been procrastinating on my first run of HGSS because shit hasn't really taken off yet.
Weed
I don't play everyday or even every week.
I'll pick up the game, breed something, train something, test out a new pokemon, or battle an NPC here or there but I don't seriously play the games unless there is something new out or coming out very soon.
I'll probably replay X in September or October to gear up for SM.
Try to modify Pokemon metagame or mechanics to make all or nearly all Pokemon relevant, in just three steps. It doesn't matter if they're lesser or major changes.
Can you do it?Messi picture because it's the first shit I found.
>>26887900
1. Remove IVs
2. Remove Megas (unless on super weak 'mons who need it)
3. Remove Smogon and Verlisify
There, I fixed it
GameFreak introduces a balance patch that makes all pokemon viable in some way, shape, or form.
>>26887900
Introduce a new battle mode.
In this battle mode, you have an amount of points that you can't ever change, and you lose points when you put a pokemon in your battle box.
Stronger pokemon require more points, while weaker pokemon require less points.
This way, if you put one or two broken mons in your team, you'll only be able to fill the other spots with shitmons. Likewise, choosing weaker pokemon could mean your team's overall power is more balanced.
