I'm a little annoyed that we're getting news purely about Pokemon, and very little about the overworld. Especfially as an asthetics-fag who considered things like overworld asthetics, locations and music to be a huge part of the experience.
I want to know more. We havent even had any location names besides the first island. But at the same time I wouldnt want too much to be spoiled, so maybe this is for the best.

That's fucking great, the new weathers only lacked automatic setters. 50% boost to electric-type attacks is really good, removes sleep too so fucks up rest mons and spore/sleep powder users.

Sounds decent, but unless it has a good recovery move, this isn't going to do a lot of important shit. The dragon which gets it is probably going to be slow too, so no hope of having a scarfer that deals more damage once it's hurt

Now that's what I call a good ability. Magearna will probably abuse the fuck out of this. Memento might be good too with this, who knows?

Its strange how people STILL wish Jirachi was retyped to Fairy when the Sun and Moon mascots made it clear that "Psychic" was the "outer space" type. Why can't people understand that "looking cute" isn't a Fairy qualification?
In their defense, half the cutesy and waifubait Pokemon in the game have been retconned to be Fairy type.

Why would Game Freak put so much effort into this generation only for it to be largely ignored and underappreciated by the masses?

That's just a loud minority.
It was made for patricians to enjoy, but when that didn't sell they did a 180 to appeal to genwunner plebes with X/Y. That, of course, alienated the core fans, but it's not like they give a fuck about those.
So far it seems like they're switching back to G.V philosophy with G.VII for some reason, but we can't be sure until we get the games.
