Half and half. We have a dedicated RP room but the original room is strictly for hanging out and talking about shit. More RP info, such as the setting details and world map, can be found in links within the listing above.
We're nearly ready to get things started, I'm just a bit busy this weekend so I've been a little absent. A couple more characters in the works to be submitted, but more importantly we gotta come up with a kick-off event for this whole thing. Some people, however, have already started RP in side-chats, so I suppose we're sort of up and running already.

Does your trainer live in a house, a Secret Base, or do they constantly wander? Where would this dwelling be, and what are their downtimes like?

My still WiP character has house. Due to his profession he's rarely there, but comfy mountainside villa awaits whenever he's in need of rest, or longer stay.
Old yet elegant housing stands lonely on tropical island in small archipelago somewhere near Hoenn. Narrow stony path leads from farmyard to little cove harboring small yacht and little steamship.
Above the house towers not completely dormant volcano, which still has enough warmth to boil hot springs, and keep small lava lakes still molten in cave system under archipelago.
Wild jungle took over most of island, creating dark and damp basilica of nature, full of wild pokemon, with lush berry tries dripping with juice. Only places free of overgrown wilderness are small farmlands cultivated by befriended tribe of Mankeys, where grain and vegetables are grown and orchards provide sweet fruit to feed household inhabitants.
Inside commodious structure there is enough space for several rooms, including private library, cabinet and dining hall, where everyone, humans and pokemon alike, gather for meals. In well equipped kitchen, chef Bisharp prepares harvest for preservation, pickling, frying and scalding food supplies for winter, and then storing them in nearby cave, hidden under tool shed, together with quite pretty collection of homemade fruit wine and mead, with some bottles and casks dating more than century.

What are your thoughts on this mechanic? I've always conveniently ignored it post gen 3 but I always wondered why they weren't multi-use. Like TMs. What's the point of making a difficult to obtain berry to weaken ice-type attacks if you can only get a single one of it?

So, /vp/, when did you grow out of filters? I stopped using them about 5 years ago when I realized I was just being a big baby over posts on the internet. I've drowned in pussy since then.
Hi pals, I'm looking for a particular kind of chart that I imagine someone must have made at some point: a diagram with games/generations, and arrows connecting them when you can transfer pokemon from one to the other. I have a lot of different pokemon games and would like to know to what extent I can move my pokemon between them, in what directions, etc. Ideally this would include the RBY 3DS ports and the upcoming Sun/Moon games.
Anyone have something like this, or the knowledge to draw one?

Hoennbaby. In my a after-school program, Pokèmon was still pretty big: cards, games, toys, etc. At this time, Pokèmon still took up at least half of an aisle in stores, and toys/books were popular at book fairs. At least I got to catch the end of it.

But I did get to experience Pokemania. With that said, I still like Gen 3 the most. Gen 1 just feels outdated and unplayable nowadays, and none of the Pokémon from that gen interest me.

Okay, so it's not just me. I was showing some shiny Pokemon to my eleven year old sister and I was trying to show her how the pattern on Tyranitar's belly is basically just Tyranitar, so I googled Pupitar. I've never closed a tab faster in my life.
