Go to Auriora straight away, swimming there should only take a hour do all of the non-combat quests there, that should get you to 30-32 alone. Then try farming some of the mobs there.

Problem with playing as a tradesman is that you'll have to be working cross-continental runs eventually, which means you'll quickly be ruined by PvP.
Unless you join a massive guild to help you out, but that sort of takes away the fun dont you think?
You can also play it safe by sticking to your own continent, but that quickly grows old and you'll see less profit.
But yeah, you can definitely level up by trading and doing agriculture. You'll be limited by your Labor points though.

I found it in about 30 seconds.

You're trying to use both magic and healing. I'm assuming you're unaware of the 1.2 split and the new weapon swap mechanics?
Basically: healing had its magic power scaling removed and now scales off of healing power and spirit. There are no weapons with both healing power and magic attack. They added in a 2 second global cool down on weapon swapping as well. You also have to have your healing/magic power weapon on for the entire duration of the effect for the scaling to apply now.
Basically: you can't be a healer mage anymore thanks to the old Cultist.
