I only liked Marie at the very very end, didn't like her at all till she cheered the fuck up after you rescue her, she was also nice as the weather girl.
But for 98.5% of the game she was easily among the worst girl candidates.

I've always been kind of apathetic about Marie. I never saw a reason to prefer her over any other character, and I thought her clothes were just way too silly, but at the same time I think the detractors just went overboard. By the end of Golden she's much better, but still not a favorite.

Izanami has her place as the villain. Marie is practically Izanami anyway.
