FPS games are mostly about placement anyway. Even if your reflexes aren't the best, you can perform better by playing cautiously and knowing your surroundings.

I am fucking awful at FPS games. I have shit reflexes and hand eye coordination. Whenever I see someone I spazz out and do something really dumb in the heat of the moment. My mouse goes fucking all over the place, and I'll switch weapons by accident all the time, or switch to the wrong ones. I'm essentially not made for FPS games.
Yet even I have an above 1.0 K/D, and I played purely medic until 23BR and ruined my K/D for awhile

just take a few moments to think about shit before running into a pile of enemies. the great thing about this game is no matter how good you are, there is always a chance of some guy just getting the drop on you because he was in the right place at the right time.

Apparently i picked up a red team, but my teammates on chat keep talking about how its the most underpowered one and blue and black guys have much better guns. This kinda confuses me.
What is the score per minute and KDR shitter cutoff in this game? Am i doing right?

Part of the KDR problem is this is an old account I played for about 2 months over a year ago, then picked back up last month, so it was really shitty to begin with. I don't want to make a new character though because it takes so long to get certs.
I have similar problems (very bad anxiety issues) and I wig out when I confront an enemy, causing all sorts of problems. For example I don't play infiltrator at all anymore because about 85% of my deaths were caused by me freaking out while trying to shoot a guy and turning on my cloak.

I've recently bought dual mattocks and put slugs on them but even with the added range, if I encounter two HA's or a HA+LA with C4, I'm fucked, truly fucked.

Yeah. One of the strengths of an NC max is being literal rape machine in small rooms or biolabs, but open field style combat isn't good for them unless they're taking on tanks via falcons or ravens.
A VS or TR max can charge with the rest of the group and lay down a huge amount of firepower safely from behind cover, but an NC max is going to have to stick with the group and move in closer to engage.

Yup. On my TR and VS alts (both on Connery because fuck the west coast yanks) I can use the MAX units with damn ease. 250 certs to get either mutilator or pounder for TR and 250 certs to get the whatever VS cheap gun is and done, sorted.
Can run around solo or in a group, can fight a good fight. NC MAX can only work in tandem with support and close quarters.
Great for point defence inside buildings, shit elsewhere.

Nah. Nah. With latency it's bad enough even with the time delay, speaking as someone who both MAXes and abuses bricks quite often. If the throwing distance was more limited a quicker trigger would be fine, but as is that'd be broke as fug, nigga.

To be fair slug hacksaws are scarily effective up to surprising ranges. They completely lack the ability to put down sustained fire like TR and VS maxes though.
C-4 should be in the turret slot for engi's now that ammo is separate.
Am I the only one who thinks that they should remove the ammo pack from the scroll wheel now that it's grouped to the class action key?

I'm in love with the gauss rifle, the mercenary is solid as fuck, and I only switch to the Anchor on HA if the fight gets a bit too close.

AC-X11 is an interesting experience.
I think I prefer the Razor overall but the AC-X11 has definitely had some moments where it just kills so easily, mostly when it comes to headshots due to that 200 damage.

on one hand the EM-6 has 200 rounds with extended mag ( i wanna go for supression, gauss saw already has 100 rounds so i don't need another lmg to do the same thing shitter) and has a higher ROF than the Gaus SAW S.
On the other hand, the Gaus SAW S is cheaper at half the cost, and is probably a bit more controllable due to the lower fire rate

Try out the GD-22S in VR.
It's much cheaper than either of those and has better base boolet velocity and reload speeds. It's generally pretty easy to use with a 2X sight and foregrip.
Though, between the EM6 and SAW-S, I'd go for the EM6.

They're both good, I handily prefer the SAW-S to the EM6 though. I feel like it's more versatile, and like you say, more controllable at longer ranges. Only marginally less DPS, better accuracy, better reload, less obnoxious horizontal recoil.
Besides, SAW-S with extended mags is still 150 rounds. That's a shitload of sustained fire from a 167@577 gun.

Mattherson is THE server if you want challenging gameplay in PS2. We talk big, walk big, and carry a huge fucking stick. Some people can't handle the trash talk. That's cool. Some people need that kind of "great job everyone, you tried your best so your all winners" kind of gameplay. You're not going to find that on Mattherson. This is the adult server. No trophies for second place here.
I've played on all the US servers. There are some very good players on the others. But nothing like what we have here. I see outfits and players on the other servers who do things that simply would not be possible on Mattherson, because if they tried that here they would be destroyed again and again. Mattherson players, and outfits are simply top notch. Whether VS, TR or NC, no other server has the same level of talent.
Go ahead, flame me. But if you ever want to improve your score, come play on Mattherson for a while, then go back to your old server. Going and playing on Waterson or Connery for me is like playing against bots.

Waterson is THE server if you want challenging gameplay in PS2. We talk big, walk big, and carry a huge fucking stick. Some people can't handle the trash talk. That's cool. Some people need that kind of "great job everyone, you tried your best so your all winners" kind of gameplay. You're not going to find that on Waterson. This is the adult server. No trophies for second place here.
I've played on all the US servers. There are some very good players on the others. But nothing like what we have here. I see outfits and players on the other servers who do things that simply would not be possible on Waterson, because if they tried that here they would be destroyed again and again. Waterson players, and outfits are simply top notch. Whether VS, TR or NC, no other server has the same level of talent.
Go ahead, flame me. But if you ever want to improve your score, come play on Waterson for a while, then go back to your old server. Going and playing on Miller or Connery for me is like playing against bots.
