DPI and sensitivity are pretty much the same: the higher they are, the faster the cursor moves.

your effective sensitivity can be measured as in-game sensitivity times dpi
this helps you understand the relation between them
for example 400 dpi and 8 in-game sens is as fast as 800 dpi and 4 in-game sens, both are 3200 effective dpi
in overwatch vast majority of good players use an eDPI between 3200-7600
when it comes to mice shape is most important. sensor is second. logitech makes some good mice. so does zowie. if possible you want to be able to feel a mouse in your hand before purchasing it
overwatch uses raw input which means it bypasses all the modifications your OS could possibly do to the sensor input processing so in practice that means your windows mouse sensitivity doesn't matter

I agree. But truth be told it's because most teams suck. Envy is the only decent team & I've played & scrimmed with literally all of them.
They're all pretty trash besides Envy & also pretty much everyone is in 100% agreement that Code 7 & Surefour/KyKy are 100% unquestionably cheating.
It's causing a lot of teams to not want to even bother trying because they're just going to lose to these 2 teams who toggle in clutch situations

Am I crazy or are the changes to defense matrix going to make dva harder to play? I'm not talking about knowing when to use it, I'm talking about holding E. Now that you need to hold E, moving to the right while using defense matrix is significantly more difficult. I can't think of any other hero that has a hold E ability.

Shield when moving through choke, or when enemy team is laying down suppressing fire. Know when to drop shield for fire strike, it's not when the enemy team is laying into your shield, charge is an all or nothing gamble, make the most of it. Your hammer hits everything in an area in front of you and displaces enemies, use it to protect healers and squishies from Genjis and Tracers if need be. Hammer down when you have your team with you and atleast one has an ult to combo with, unless it's a desperate gambit, also fire strike downed enemies it hits everything in a line. Practice is always key, don't just be a walking shield rectangle, bully other tanks if they want to get in close, and be ready for honorable Rein duals.

The 1st point is always really hard to hold for the entire game, due to the prevalance of cheesy rushing with fast heroes (Luckily going away next patch) and the attacker spawn being so much closer
And the 2nd point is much more defender favoured due to the spawn being literally right next to it on every map.
You either rush it and take it before they set up properly or be prepared to slowly siege it for 5 minutes while defenders have the advantage.

Both points should have an equal chance of attack and defense winning

You avoid players that are bad, either mechanically or just horrible people that bitch and flame all game and dont draft properly so you dont wanna play with them
Avoiding a player because they're good would be counter productive if it didnt let them on your team, because you'd just queue against them and make your life harder.
And you can solve the issue of putting ban power in the hands of players by making the system track how many avoids they get per game, and if the ration of avoids goes above a certain threshold they get a day lockout from ranked the next time they login or something.

That takes out like half of the function of avoid, plus you can still go to "recent players" and just check avoid from there.
If they put in the extra work and just make sure that it always tracks who you were on teams with until the end of the game can't be hit with avoid, THEN it could possibly be non retarded.

I do agree 2CP is badly balanced. 2CP usually goes any of these ways:

Almost never happens at decent ranks
>attack caps first then rushes second with Ults and wins with 5+ mins on timer

>attack caps, fucks up rush, slow burn until they coordinate ults and win
Second most common outcome

Reasonably unlikely
At decent levels of play offense should win like 80% of the time

Defenders will ways have the upper hand because they don't have to fight the clock and as time goes on the game gets easier for them as their spawn point moves closer to the objective.
