It doesn't happen all the time, but those few instances when you go to climb a wall as Hanzo/Genji and it doesn't work the way it should, it feels terrible.
Like, when you're climbing for a fraction of a second and then they just stop or when they won't climb past the protrusion sticking out of the wall like they do for most walls in the game. Also, some of the rounded corners on Numbani's walls fuck me up.

I don't think you should be able to choose to avoid playing against skilled players, but it's fair to want to avoid being teamed with people who are incompetent or abusive embodiments of the Dunning-Krueger effect.
Just apply the avoid filter to teammates.

I think with Zenyatta being viable (assuming they fix his bugged healing) and cringy mech pilot being good there's not much room for monkey anymore.

I hate to say it but look at TF2s default HUD, which was horrible.
When you were low HP, the cross turns more and more red. That's an easy way to see at a glance what's going on with your HP.
Bright white on dark white just isn't a very good contrast. Unless I actually look at my HP bar, it always seems ot me like it's full if I'm playing a normal-hp-only hero.

Team kill is what it announces any time everyone on their team is dead at the same time. You don't necessarily have to be involved in it, which is what the regular kill announcements are for.
You can contribute a double kill to a teamkill, but you can also contribute a sextuple kill.

It really isn't doing it, no. There's so much visual pollution and sound pollution in the game you really need something on the HUD itself.
It's a common complaint, it's not just me. The HUD should be there to easily access information, it doesn't contribute to a skill floor like you're trying to imply.

If you're on payload, you never leave the payload.
If shield is low inform team, deactivate and move behind payload and use your hammer as a buffer against enemies.
Charge only when you know you can guarentee a kill and have someone to heal or cover the point.
Similar tactic if you are pushing to an enemy point. Once in a good enough position with team support charge in to divide the enemy line and allow your allies to attack, while you support.
Neutral is a similar concept except when defended you are free to deactivate and deal with immediate threats.
Do these and you will be an incredible asset for your team with practice.

It forces Rein to do something which is always good. It makes a bouncy Genji fuck off. It can be obnoxious if the monkey can land the jump and bounce around a lot but in the end Dva has the capability to do meaningful damage which monkey can't really do.

Barrier is a temporary relocation/defensive measure, not an entrenchment. Use it to help your team get from A to B safely and to protect vulnerable team mates, and when it's not in use, let it recharge.
Firestrike is a wonderful little bit of burst damage that you can use to quickly finish people off at melee range, and it goes straight past barriers [so does charge, by the way, which is why every Reinhardt v. Reinhardt fight is a tense standoff where the first to be distracted gets charged]
Don't charge mindlessly the entire team trying to search for glory in death. Be also wary of charging people when there are enemy Zaryas around. And remember it does no damage unless you slam them against a wall.
Your ult should almost always be comboed with an E on the downed victims followed by a charge for max effectiveness.

Reinhardt is only tanky because he has a huge shield and anyone dumb enough to jump into melee range to bypass it gets mulched. That's why looking for an opening is so important, because otherwise you'll get shredded.
Reinhardt is basically Mindgame: The Hero. Especially against other Reinhardts. You have to bluff and psyche out your enemies effectively to make the most of him.

Gotta talk to your team first off - know when they can push and know when it's best to sit back and let them feed their ults/take out turrets/etc.
There are two types of bad Rein players. One that just puts the shield up and does nothing else, and the other that charges in at the first look of a tank and gets himself killed and leaves his team to die.
You've gotta find the balance between that. You gotta move forward because as Rein you're not only the Shield but you're the first attacker and you have to start moving forward a bit when it's the right time.
I guess this more specifically applies to capture the point ones, for payload you're probably gonna want to be at the payload almost the entire time.

The fact that he has 500 HP and some armor is offset by the fact that he's absolutely fucking huge and you can't miss him and shotguns tear him up.
He also has absolutely no escape maneuvers, unless you count the charge as one. You really shouldn't though because it's better used offensively and it's unreliable as an escape maneuver anyways.

I think one of winston's big strengths is being able to weave around his bubble shield and attack with tesla cannon. Upping his shield strength would fall in line with increasing winston's capabilities as a tank as opposed to a guy who just kills back line squishies

Who else plays a really mobile Soldier 76? I'm talking running and gunning, using rocket jumps and sprint boosts to get to unexpected places, and just being a goddamn Batman. It's so damn fun.

His shield used to start cooling down the moment it was placed instead of when it breaks in addition to it being at 1000 health.
It was nerfed because two Monkeys would rotate shields on a moving cart and it was really powerful having perpetual shields.
Now that hero stacking is kill I see no reason why it shouldn't return to that state. It means monkey can actually tank something now.

All of those are huge issues. You didn't specify which issues mattered most to you. So what's left? Leavers and rank gain? Kaplan's posts past and current still apply. This was an experimental season and S2 will barely resemble S1. Now whether that fixes anything is another story, I guess, but it does mean the current comp format won't see another season. There is a possibility how they handle everything in S2 may be even worse of course.

He's pretty niche outside of koth, but it's mostly on you. You need good map and situational knowledge to pull him off. Dancing in and out of your bubble (it blocks from both sides so they're in your bubble and you're outside they can't hit you either) to deal with high dps squishies is something you should learn to play him well. He's also one of the better 2v1 heroes. For example with another player you can put an enemy Rein in a bad spot. He either has to shield and take electric damage or drop it to fight you and then take damage from your teammate. Think of him as a flanker. Just because you're tankier doesn't mean you get to be sloppy. If Genji and Tracer would get stomped on trying to kill Mercy or Lucio in a certain situation then Winston likely will too.

Always make sure your bastion sets up on the edge of the control square, just outside it, so he'll never hold or take a point.
Hanzo does if he steps inside the control square, always ensure that he is far from the objective so he can effectively yell at a wall and get potg. PROTECT HANZO POTG AT ALL COSTS
When attacking a point as Reinhardt, ensure you have at least 3 people behind your shield as you approach the point. When you get top the point, always change a turret outside the control zone that isn't firing on your team. This is especially effective if your shield is taking sustained fire from bastion. Those people knew the risks of viewing behind your shield. You're encouraging them to fight.
Always make sure you stack with at least one torbjorn. The most useful thing in koth is to have a static threat that can be avoided with cover. It's also useful to have a hero who will be hammering at metal far away. You only need one person to cap a point, why waste manpower?
When you capture the objective, always make sure that the entire team bunch up in the centre, and all face towards the enemy storm. This way you'll get to see yourself in the potg when that nice Mr junkrat uses his tire, or when zarya ungulates the toiletsteen. Remember, if you leave the objective square after you've taken it, you die.
If the enemy has a torbjorn, like all good koth teams do, always make sure to go look for his tower, especially when it's not aimed at the objective and can't hurt you. Killing turrets is the most important thing.

Lucio on KOTH is one of the few thing people are actually carefull about now. Getting env kills is pain in the ass these days, on all KOTH maps. No unnecesary jumping when near cliffs, people hugging walls or at least centers of points. You get lucky sometimes, sure, and it's probably still the best place if you want to see/get POTG as Lucio but it's rare sight compared to few weeks back. Best one is that one ching chong tower map i guess, but even there the people seem to turn the corners carefully or go through middle if Lucio is on the enemy team.
It's fairly interesting though, i would think people would sooner learn to check spawn entrance for mines than corners for Lucio, but apparently that's not the case.

I learned about this playing TF2 for so many years. When you're playing defense, the entire point of defense is just stalling the timer until the round is over and you've won. Intuitively, you know killing the offensive team is a good thing because the time they spend dead is time they could've been capturing points/carts and winning. However, killing isn't the only way to waste their time. Playing Scout in TF2 and baiting multiple enemy players into chasing you around is BETTER than killing them. You're making them waste way more time than if you just killed them straight up. You can do this with Genji and Tracer really well in this game.

After the enemy hog does the standard bnb on you, you can do it right back- fire, melee, cancel the animation with your hook, then fire and melee again for a string that takes off approx. 90% of Roadhog's health (I think)

76 can just sit in place and laugh as he outheals your damage. Dva can secure the kill or force the retreat.
Dva's eternally up matrix also outclasses the bubble, which instantly shatters the vast majority of the time.
Monkey can't do shit about Zenyatta while Dva can matrix and escape.
Monkey is also shit on hard by Dva and Zenyatta naturally, who are both pretty solid right now.
I feel like monkey is pretty garbage now, but to be fair he was only good because he exploited shitty game mechanics.

I killed a bunch of Winstons today 1v1 face-to-face as Genji. When you do the right-click spread shurikens they all hit him consistently (because he's so huge) and Genji throws them faster than the left-click.
I mean, I was probably playing against children, but they had their auto-aim lightning gun and I outplayed them despite that. I made sure to strategically climb around and dash through them. I wasn't ever standing perfectly still.
