Evolve uses an asymmetrical structure where five players, four playing as hunters and one as the monster, battle against each other in an industrialized alien planet called Shear.

Every week, four hunters (one of each class) and one monster will be in the free rotation. There are currently 24 Hunters and 7 Monsters in total, though some are variations of others. By playing the character tutorials, you unlock one hunter (Markov) and one monster (The Goliath) to keep forever.
Additional monsters, hunters, perks, and skins are unlocked by earning silver keys. Silver keys are earned by playing the game, leveling up, or getting login bonuses. Currently you can't actually buy silver keys, presumably so they can test the unlock rate, but that's coming later.
There is also a monthly login bonus punch card. You get one punch for each day you log in. Beyond silver keys, this can directly award new Hunters and Skins.

You can buy the game and it to gives your account full founder benefits, which gives you 30k keys and most characters.

Dead center abduct's targeting circles thing on a hunter, and Wraith flies happily into the edge of the cliff 5' below that, perfectly consistently.

Combo of both. Buy a couple of perks that would be the most useful to roles you mainly play, then spend the rest of your sheckles on characters. You'll unlock a fair number of perks via leveling up the hunters, and should you outright buy the perks they would normally grant you wont receive any compensation when you reach the required level.

Goliath is meant to be bullied.
You are loud. Your attacks are telegraphed. You are slow. Your attacks are slow. Most hunters were designed to ruin your day, while they can barely lay a finger other monsters. Even characters that are absolute shit can still work against you.

stick them in chokepoints around the edges of the map and so you can cover the entrance to every "section" of the map if that make sense
stick one in the middle of dome fights so your team can see the monster at all times, especially if he is trying to hide/regen armor or loop and you can't see him

depends on the map, generally you want to place them in highly trafficked areas like caves or along the edges of the map. try not to overlap them, but don't leave big gaps that they can just go through/around. always place a spike at the start of a match.
