Evolve uses an asymmetrical structure where five players, four playing as hunters and one as the monster, battle against each other in an industrialized alien planet called Shear.
Stage 2 is the transition to Free To Play + a lot of gameplay changes.

Every week, four hunters (one of each class) and one monster will be in the free rotation. There are currently 24 Hunters and 7 Monsters in total, though some are variations of others. By playing the character tutorials, you unlock one hunter (Markov) and one monster (The Goliath) to keep forever.
Additional monsters, hunters, perks, and skins are unlocked by earning silver keys. Silver keys are earned by playing the game, leveling up, or getting login bonuses. Currently you can't actually buy silver keys, presumably so they can test the unlock rate, but that's coming later.
There is also a monthly login bonus punch card. You get one punch for each day you log in. Beyond silver keys, this can directly award new Hunters and Skins.

You can buy a founders key on G2A or similar sites and use it to give your account full founder benefits, which gives you 30k keys and most characters. Keys right now are around $10.

coming into a fight with your whole team preshielded is nice but you'll be hardpressed to get >10K shielded for the whole game overall.
Meanwhile a good regular Hank can stonewall any kind of aggression on his teammates to the tune of >15K a game easy, and is #1 focus priority himself for a reason. So I just started just recently and as far as things go, I think my favorite trapper is Crow. His banter is hilarious and that "poking" from afar is great at messing with the monster.
This is whenever we can get into a game. Half the time me and my buds keep getting "lobby full" and kicked from the group or something. Hope this is fixed in the next few updates hopefully.

Cabot is fine if you have a burst assault like Lennox or Blitz. You're going to get a down if the monster focuses someone, but in exchange you'll chunk several bars of health and it'll be a worthwhile trade. For example if I'm running as Laz and I get focused, by the time I become incapped the monster is missing 5 bars of health just from that engagement alone.

So having spent almost my entire day on this stupid game I can safely say that I am having an absolute blast playing as hunter. I for the life of me however, have no idea how anyone can enjoy playing the monster. Maybe things will get better once I level up some more and get more perks, but between the constant planet scans and wonderfully annoying stuff like unlimited track darts or weapons that can slow you from a mile away, every game just feels like an uphill battle to an inevitable loss. Yes wealthy grandma of many hits does her absolute best damage when the monster isn't paying attention to her. Which is nice because most assaults cannot pull the monster off the other hunters so you are there pretty much to do damage. It is annoying against mobile monsters because there is a timer for reset and a single miss also resets. So you are playing a lot of catch up. A semi-stationary monster that lets her whip without resets?

There's a cooldown before your stacks reset so don't worry if the monster moves out of range, just don't autoattack,and dodge up its ass.

Right now monster is much more about fighting than hiding, you have to prepare a route and takes not of places where you want to fight (and get domed)
It also revolve a lot about analysing and punishing the mistakes of the enemy team, maybe it's the way I play but it feel like an RTS sometimes

Friend started playing Griffin, and I play either Lennox or Rogue Val, we have not lost against a Wraith or Gorgon since, haven't run into any Krakens yet. Yeah, AI has a tendency to do that. I've notice it with all monsters when I tried out Griffin in a custom game to see how I like him if I ever get trapper dailies.
How in the FUCK do you beat Wraith?
I get that shooting the "white" clone doesn't actually hurt it and it is a decoy but if that clone does damage what fucking difference does it make? You have to get around the blender of death to get at the real one and if it pins you in the slightest the fucking Warith Stand just ORAOROAROAORAOROAORAOROAORAOROA my entire godamn health bar. At least with Goliath or Kraken I can see and hit the real one through it's attacks. That clone is its best weapons and shield and it doesn't seem to even have a weakness.

Basically you jet pack near a cliff and keep going up and down forcing the monster to follow you by climbing or waiting in hopes to catch you. Most monsters don't learn their lesson or end up giving up trying to chase you.

You still have to predict where they are moving to avoid the big hits. But if you do get knocked away you should have plenty of fuel to rush back to the cliff since it doesn't drain it when you slowly creep up. Your team should be helping you anyways since they won't be getting stomped by the monster.

Buy Hank instead if you don't already have him, Sunny is solid but she's much more reliant on teams playing a deal more mindfully than the average pubby.
If your medic can't successfully dodge then you're ineffective, if no one stands by/in line of sight of your drone then it's ineffective and if both of these are ineffective then you should've went Hank.

Get yerself a blitz markov. A fully charged mine will instantly kill a decoy that steps on it and wraith has a big difficult destroying mines.

Bucket is nice for damage but don't expect him to help your team avoid damage. If you do have those perks then yah he would be pretty good if not then I would avoid playing him. Hank is still better in most cases.
