Now that you're 50 you can head over to Arcterra to farm soulfrost for ilvl 85 gear. Also grind the various daily zones, contracts, dungeons, adventures,s hipghands and what have you for rep to get access to AMPS and Ability Tier Points.

Detonate does almost twice the damage on a hit that Chain Lightning does, I think. So for every amount of targets besides exactly 2 or 3 it's more damage.

The only time Chain Lightning does more damage is on boss fights with two bosses that are stacked so it can bounce between them.
