Dunno, these are just the tanks I always find myself coming back to whenever I'm feeling down. I actually feel like I do worse in supposed meta tanks as it probably just gets to my head that I should be doing better in them, whereas playing mediocre tanks make it feel like I've overcome something when I win and do well.
Also the Matilda is hardly average. Its probably the one of the most broken tier 4 tanks in the game. The gun is amazing and the armor works well enough most of the time.

I like being able to blap and run from people. Its a nice strategy in higher tier games where everyone could one shot you if they so much as look your way, so getting 3 shots to put out 6-800 damage in mere seconds is nice.
