Jenova isn't a bad server really, it just has a lot of newer players and casuals since it's one of the biggest servers still open to new players and is considered one of if not the home for PS4 players. You can think of job as being a skin that goes on top of a base class with extra benefits and stats. Your job, in this case PLD, will always be the same level as the base class, which is GLA. Playing as either of the two will level both at the same time, but there's 0 reason to continue playing as GLA after you unlock PLD. All class skills will continue to unlock as you level as its job.

Gladiator to 15 for: Unlocking other classes.
Marauder to 6 for: Fracture, Foresight
Gladiator to 30 for: PLD Requirement.
Conjurer to 15 for: PLD Requirement.
Paladin to 50 for: Maximum level.
Marauder to 26 for: Mercy Stroke

Antitower was even more of a straight-line corridor than Hullbreaker is. And Hullbreaker at least puts a little gimmick or sense of progression into at least half of the trash encounters, like how the dungeon starts with Generic Trash Pull > Weak pack of enemies with the fire-floor buff fields > Stronger pack of enemies and you still have to move for the buff fields.
Antitower literally starts off by having you walk down a path that is not just a straight line, but is a straight, perfectly rectangular platform, floating in the middle of nowhere, and the first three packs of enemies are literally identical pulls, with absolutely nothing to differentiate them from each other or from any other encounter in any dungeon.
Not a single dungeon in the game comes even remotely close to being half as fucking horrible as Antitower was.

From what I understand, I plant krakka roots seeds next to like mirror apple seeds with thanlan soil and get a bunch of curiel root seeds as a result? Then I plant the curiel root seeds by themselves with shroud soil to get double the yield? Is this the right way to do it?

And don't forget that Antitower was undertuned even by the standards of this game's retard-proof 4-man dungeons. It's bad enough that most of the time you can throw a regen/Adlo on the tank and that's all the healing you need to do for the rest of the pull. Antitower and Amdapor didn't even need that much and the tank still wouldn't be close to dying.
It's a shame that Brayflox HM pretty much scared SE into never making a non gated dungeon ever again.

Don't get me wrong, I fucking hated SVHM (and every other dungeon in 2.3, except for the very first time through Tam-Tara when you actually care about the story), but I can give it a tiny bit of credit for at least making an effort with the boss fights. The first boss fight was pretty decent, the second sucked but at least it wasn't completely generic, and the final boss was actually kind of fun because IIRC that's where they first introduced the Diresaur type enemies that have no cast bars or AoE markers but physically telegraph their attacks.

I fucking hate seeing this shit, the sliding animations are always overlong and prevent you using any fucking abilities or skills at all until the dumb animation is completely finished.
It's absolutely zero fun to deal with and are always coupled with mechanics that are set up so that if you DON'T move, you get slammed with shitloads of AoE damage and will die if your healer doesn't shove shitloads of healing up your ass.
