Wheel zombies are faster and deal strike damage with their attacks and big zombies have a larger attack range, a chance to use a slightly more powerful attack, slightly higher HP, and 3 AoE ratio by default instead of 2 though the large mobs required to make them are generally not common. The attributes add to the CD of zombify, so keep that in mind.

Archer 2 hunter 3 falcon 1 here going on falcon 2 soon. I'm doing ok with 20 invested con at 213. In dungeon runs you want to lure mobs then rushdog > growling > circling > multishot x2.
You won't need kneeling as you'll be moving around too much and by the time you get that combo off everything should be dead if your other party members use their aoes during circling as well. Make sure you attribute your multishot enhance to at least 50.
It's usually hard to tell where your pet is in the cluster of mobs so you just gotta get used to knowing which target your rushdog will hit so you can position your growling in the middle of the cluster of mobs. Sometimes I just jump into the middle to rushdog > growling and it usually catches them pretty well once they're sorta bunched up.
The problem is range or magic mobs that can kill your pet outside of growling range, especially magic mobs that use magic missile, will end up killing your pet while you're trying to cluster the mobs together. You gotta try and time your rushdog > growling immediately after the pet comes out of stun or just take magic mobs slowly.

Coursing and Retrieve don't work on bosses. Snatching does, but only if they're flying-type. Hunters are absolutely garbage for bosses.
Hunter C3 only adds growling, which is a pet AI mode that continuously gives Fear to everyone around the pet. As it does nothing worthwhile to players, it's useless in any sort of PvP.
Hunters are the safest class to play. They can solo any non-boss content, albeit very slowly. Crowd control multiple monsters with fears and take them out while they just stand there and don't fight back, or kill stuff one by one with retrieve/coursing. Absolutely deadly in 1x1 PvP, too. Hounding is top-tier in PvP too, all those Scout tears when you completely nulify stealth.
Max Retrieve, do not Max Coursing.

In solo play you'll also be using this combo to group mobs up rushdog > growling > circling > multishot x2. It works well for maps with lots of mobs like vedas plateau, you just group everything up and drop that combo and they all die. The hard part is not getting KSed by some other guy passing by while you're setting up.
For high HP mobs you have retrieve. If the mobs can be knocked back, you can full draw and link 2 of them together while your pet retrieves one of them and both will take damage while you spam oblique that will hit 2x since it hits both and then they both spread the damage to each other. For this you want full draw to be last as long as possible at lvl8 which means no kneeling shot. The other 2 points go into oblique and heavy.
You'll be using heavy shot to knock mobs into growling for both party and solo play, or to knock one mob closer to another to get them into full draw link range.

As hunter 3 falcon 1 (and evantually 2), you're just not going to be doing much on ground bosses, even with kneeling, so IMO it's better to level full draw for reasons above, since high HP mobs get tons of HP which will evantually outlast even a 14 sec retrieve. On mobs that can't be knocked back, kneeling would probably be better but you can also full draw link a mob that can be knocked back, into a mob that can't be knocked back if there are other mobs around.

IMO fear 3 is enough and I should've maxed out snatching. Rushdog scales badly and you won't need it for mobbing since you'll be using the circling combo or retrieve for solo mobs so rushdog is pretty much just to move your pet around.
You can still max it if you want, I'm still considering since a maxed out rushdog drains SP pretty fast. 15 rushdog would eat as much SP as 10 retrieve but only do a fraction of the damage. Not really worth it IMO but then you have nothing else to spend the points on, so I just end up saving them for the time being. Coursing 1 is just to fill in for retrieve's downtime.
You'll pretty much never touch it again when you get retrieve. Hounding 1 for invisible mobs and if you do pvp.
