Just focus on the New World, I would say even go as far as releasing your other colonies. That's also likely better for them in the long run, independent Australia and New Zealand will have tons more immigrants than as colonies, and Australia especially can easily become a secondary power as your dominion. South Africa, if you release that later, can also easily become a secondary power. Hold onto Canada though, keep the New World under your firm grasp.

Were I you, I'd do some basic reading up on the history of Persia in the period (wiki their Shahs during that time, try and find out the gist of their goals and personalities) and kick up a Persia AAR. They're a nice nation that's got potential, but they need to work hard for their success. Better yet, it's not a nation or an area of the world you often see AARs in.

You're going to find a pre-Celtic substrate practically everywhere outside of the initial region where Celts developed, to the point where all modern Celts are partially proto-Basque.
That has nothing to do with modern Brits essentially being modern Celts with a coat of Germanic culture and some genetic admixture thrown over the top.
Angles, Saxons and Jutes were close enough to the Scandinavian Germanics that at the time of the Danelaw Danish and the Anglo-Saxon language were mutually intelligible, but I don't think anybody was conflating Germans and Germanics, and all the tribes that settled England were definitely the latter.
