Nu FtD update just came in, radar shit is on, it's inside the AI tab. New radar things are:

>Acoustic sensor
It hears incoming things.
>General purpose processing card
The more of these you have, the more information you can process

It's like the cameras we had until know, but these one detects heat

Detects if enemy shit is using LUA Boxes based on it's reaction times

Pings and detects enemy boats, subs and other underwater shit

It's like the AI mainframe of the detection systems

Not really. You kinda just have to use more eco stuff like solar panels and accumlators, but the power output is pretty low. I guess save up to make a solar farm.

you can't directly get rid of pollution per-se, but certain objects on the map and turfs absorb it

most notably each tree takes in a bit of it which is why its more beneficial to have trees around if you don't want the ayys to smell your industry. Grass tiles help a little and water tiles consume a ton so its difficult for pollution to float over bigger waterways. Bug bases also notably take in a fucking ton of pollution I think in an effort to prevent it from spreading to multiple bases down the same lane to encourage you to take out close bases that attacks are constantly coming from.

The engineering is extremely basic and does not involve any problem-solving to accomplish set objectives.
The multiplayer might as well not exist given the horrible netcode.
The graphics are iffy at best, and there's no components that allow for aesthetically pleasing creations.

Yep, I knew that. Nope, I didn't make it because of that. Yep, it's retarded. Very new to Factorio and I had to cannibalize a pre-built base (the tutorial levels) so everything's ass-backwards and not at all how I would have done it. I had to build around existing constructions and figure out how to make shit work with what I already had instead of making it from scratch.

Fucking want. I have a typical fear of the ocean, and games like Subnautic are the only games I find scary but still enjoy. I would love a game where you have to engineer your sub to your own purposes while exploring and surviving in the unknown depths. A game where you have to choose between stuff like a glass cockpit that allows greater visibility of threats, but can take damage easily and cause you to drown in your sub, or going with a completely metal cockpit and relying on sensors to give you info on the unknown threats you will never see that occasionally swarm your tank-like hull.

But until we have the scary /egg/ sub game of my dreams, there's SubCommander, it's a fun little sim.

Except no first person requirement and no scary stuff at all. What I want is a permadeath highly customizable Subnautica with more darkness and eldritch horrors. I want it to be as much about the mechanical workings of the submarine as it is about your player character and how you react to events and read-outs.

I would really love a game where you just play as a guy on a sub, and you have to take in cues from your surroundings and your sensors in order to make the best survival decisions.

The part count limiter should keep you from adding too many bits to lag the game too horrifically, you should be able to make a ship as large as you wish with panels and struts, provided you stretch them out.

All I can tell you is to try restarting until it works or loading in a different vessel. No idea why it might not be loading properly, it works just fine on our machines, even when downloaded and played from the link.

to set them to that you have to use the arrow keys, the opposite of what direction the truster is facing.
