they should only have a few niche uses. melee is fine. mage could use a small buff, range should be nerfed into weapon swap territory that the others reside in. It doesnt make any sense that BiS gear should come from a shitty minigame. It devalues all other actual range gear. I will support a buff to the magic set bonus though. Its a shame that the best looking set of magic gear in the game is not even ideal for its main use (convenience swapping at zulrah)

the macro detection works entirely off uniformity. if you do anything precise enough for a long enough period of time you will be banned even if you are not using any sort of third party program (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St7zXwt6qTQ go to 1:30). you can actually get away with 1:2 input/output keys by adding a random time interval between each output. Ive spoken to a guy who runs a lot of bots which are very obvious to other players but have gone months without getting caught because he programmed the macro to click through the bank occasionally using over a hundred different screen positions that are picked at random as well as putting a time interval between each input that is randomly chosen between 100-500ms. If your AHK's are legit 1:1 (meaning only 1 input is going through at a time) then you have nothing to worried about unless you have super advanced autism and can operate at computer level precision for a long period of time

you would really only need it for complex scripts, the scripts i see that have randomness functions are also all in gross violation of 1input=1output so at that point the script isn't legal.
My controller setup is 95% player input via the controller. My AHK script maps two relative mousemoves to buttons on my controller for precision pouch emptying/filling and depositing/withdrawing respectively. This is only for precision: I could just as easily do without them, and as I said earlier, the (very, very simple) script has no clicking of any kind.
Frankly, what I'm more concerned about is if using JoyToKey the way I am is allowed by Jagex, but then, I can't think of any reason it wouldn't be
