How to fix Mercy's ult: Don't make it instant. Every ult in the game can be countered by killing whoever is ulting (except dva and zenyatta from obvious reasons), but you can't counter Mercy's since she usually suicide dive bombs her 5 team mates with ults ready. Make her have to use it wisely so that if she is caught out. Her revive either cancels or revives people for a fraction of their health

How to play zenyatta:
TIP 1: Almost never, EVER use M2. EVER. There's very few reasons you should ever use this, and it's mostly after you've already applied discord to people, or charging up while genji is in reflect.
TIP 2: Get real fucking good at landing M1 headshots. You're going to need to be able to land them to win CQC fights.
TIP 3: Discord high priority targets. You see an enemy roadhog? Put it on the fatman. If you have a roadhog on YOUR team, discord anything he's going to pull. You can end up annihilating tanks in one shot.
TIP 4: GET EVEN BETTER AT LANDING THOSE FUCKING M1 HEADSHOTS NIGGA
TIP 5: Transcendence is honestly pretty shit. You're not going to use it to save your entire team through two simultaneous ults, but it might save your team from a death blossom. Be ready to hit Q at a moments fucking notice
TIP 6: Give Tracers the boot - A discorded M1 headshot followed by a melee will deal more than 150 damage, which will instantly kill an overconfident tracer attempting to assassinate you.
TIP 7: Play carefully, but stay near your fucking team. Short of being a baller with M1's, you're going to need assistance a lot of the time to save your ass.
TIP 8: Find a tracer or a genji on your team that likes doing stupid shit like running into the enemy team and keep your orb on them so they can live, without you needing to risk yourself.
TIP 9: Zenyatta is not a solo healer. You're going to want a lucio or a mercy to back you up, unless you just don't give a fuck.

Don't run off by yourself and attempt to get sick kills. Focus on popping harmony orbs on the people who either need it, or are most likely to get damage dealt to them. Is a Parah running off ahead of the group to distract the enemy team as they run to the cap? Pop it on her and change once shit starts going down. Start alternating between changing harmony when needed and popping discord on important targets, then aiming your balls at them to take them down. Headshots do CRAZY damage, but just fucking spam those balls with good aim and you'll do fine.
Nothing feels better than getting four gold medals as Zenyatta, including top eliminations, then getting play of the game. It's too great.

theres still a hard limit to what he can do. The travel time on discord really fucks up any chances he has to defend himself from ambushes.
They really need to up his base damage to discord level and and remove the bonus he alone receives.
Would also allow him to put discord on primary targets and not the shit that's killing him.

It's more challenging than quickplay, gives me incentive to play better and not fuck around and I just don't like playing non-ranked in any game.
