So I'm looking it up and part of the Chaplain's duties is to serve as a Counselor. Problem is, nobody plays him that way and nobody comes up to the Chaplain for counseling, unless they're confessing or looking for spiritual guidance for some RP-based laughs.
I think if there was an actual Psychotherapist/Counselor job it would mostly be a fuckoff job like the Librarian or Chaplain, but I still think as a service it would actually see some use and produce some entertainment value, even if most of it would be "lol I prescribe us all mindbreaker."

Well the problem with that is that antitox isn't in the sleepers and therefore brings all the problems that stem from that. Also that as pop rises, the more it's gonna be looted. Even if everyone only take 1 bruise, 1 oint, and 1 of each pill it's all gone in in a couple guys. That only gets worse at higher pop.

but that started to become a problem when you reached your server cap of about 20-30 people. I had the same problem playing dwarf fortress. I could theoretically support a fort with up to 80 but it meant I had to keep a strict hierarchy in order to maintain order.
Basically, if you look at your population graph, you'll see that you're servers growths peters out at about 20 or 30, increases for a while, population declines, then it goes back up, because that is what your hierarchy is able to support.

You are generally much better off letting people split off into smaller groups and letting them govern themselves.
However, there are certain circumstances in which you are unable to do this, such as mutual defense against a much larger or more hostile power.
The trick is for each faction to maintain as much of its own autonomy while still being able to work out a compromise.
