So busy started playing the bigger maps with the second tier vehicles. Why does everyone have a T-34? And what the hell, all of my shots just ricochet off or do no damage even in a direct hit on those T-34s. While their cannon knocks out my frontal armor of my panzer IV

Aim in same places as in these vids and you'll be fine. It's a 75mm HEAT with 100mm of pen in the vid (which you should have on your short barrelled Pz.IV) and if you have a long 75mm of the F2, you should be able to pen it without a problem.

I'd suggest you kill the gunner with a turret shot first, it's gonna prevent the enemy from killing you straight away when the RNG bounce occurs. And don't aim for the driver's hatch, you'll bounce 90% of the time. Aim for turret ring if you know you can pen it, it's the best way to knock one out fast.

Oh thanks! I'm actually new at the game (as if it wasn't obvious). I'm currently doing better with my short barreled Pz.IV than my F2 long barrel due to the upgrades I have for it.
I'm finding I can't take on the the KVs and T-34s head on and win. They instakill me, so I have to rely on a flanking maneuver. But even that is getting hard due to the insane range of the tanks now. Where 3-4 of my viable tanks are short barreled.

Yes, sloping actually helps them, a ton. You can check the armour viewer in the hangar, the armour effectiveness increases the more it's sloped. Not only that, but the more it's sloped, the more likely the shot is to bounce.
And you get used to playing things properly soon enough. You can't rely on armour on German tanks until Tiger, you'll get penned by everything. And you don't really need upgrades for the F2, stock APHE has enough pen, you just need to aim at the right places. Keep your distance with it, although the fast rate of fire and 100mm pen HEAT is pretty good at that tier. You'll get used to it, don't worry. If you're still struggling, use German TDs, STuGs actually have better armour than Pz.IVs and are actually quite fun.

Nope, sadly not. T-34s will still pen you with ease. Even angled Tigers will get penned by T-34-85 at their tier. Angling can help, but not a ton if your armour is still flat and thin. If you are keeping your distance, you might as well do it, but it won't help you much really. On stuff like Churchills, you can angle it so that your tracks are in their way, but like in Panzer IVs, there's always your turret.

I have a couple of questions.
1.) Why hasn't anything been done to help prevent spawn camping in RB and SB tanks? I've been in three matches IN A ROW now, where one or two tanks have found their way behind our base, usually while I'm off trying to kill tanks across the map. Upon my death and respawn, they usually wait quietly in the bushes and then fire after counting to fifteen.
It feels like there's nothing I can do, and it's very frustrating.

When I'm using the Yak-9T, why don't the 37mm rounds penetrate and damage tanks that I attack with it? The listed penetration says it should pop right through the roof armor of almost every tank. It doesn't. In fact, I don't think any sort of plane-based gun can kill tanks unless it's a big fucking 75mm Hs129B or something, and that's fucking dumb.

Come in from as straight an angle as possible. It's the only way unless you're using naziboo super hvap atomic rounds.
With the 9t you can easily come straight down on top of them, spray them from a straight angle, then pull up.
Just make sure you have enough altitude to start with, and don't get too greedy with the dive or you'll face plant.

I usually fly down at about an 85 degree angle. Sometimes even straight down. That or I hit them flat on the back while flying below treetop level, and I cannot kill anything. I can destroy an SPAA, sure- but I can't even crit tanks.
Also, the webm depicted the death of an NPC controlled, VERY low rank and low armor tank, while the slightly higher ranked Pz. IV appeared to have minimal damage. You do realize that AI tanks are very different from player driven ones in how they receive damage, right?

Wehraboo here. Seconding this. I've never been able to pen the T-34's driver hatch with my Pz IV. My shots just bounce for days and it feels like Gaijin is trolling me at times by turning a historical weakpoint into a bouncy plate of stalinium alloy.
The cheeks, MG port, and turret ring have all been good weakspots to shoot for. If you can get a shot from the side, then I like to hit them between the second and third drive wheel. That usually hits the ammo bin.

IMO, the left turret cheek (right from your perspective) should be emphasized. A penetrating shot there will take out the T34's commander/gunner. This will stop them from being able to shoot back until their crew repositions, which gives you time to reload and prepare another shot.
A general tip that is especially important for the germans is to remember to go hull down. The Panzer IV has greatly superior gun depression to the T34, so you can hide behind hills with only your turret exposed.
The Dickermax is a god at going hull down with its 15 degrees of depression. It pokes its gun over the hill at a rate of one kilometer/year, one-shots somebody through their glacis plate with its point-n-click railgun, and then withdraws back a meter to spend the next decade reloading.

3000 surviving T-34/76 and 7000 surviving T-34-85 remained in service, supplemented by additional 30000 T-34-85, produced between 1945 and 1959, both for demestic use and export. They were eventually replaced by T-62s and T-64s, last were removed from service in 1969.
