the way they do these is taking the in-game model, posing it, taking a screenshot and then making an artist paint over it (sometimes without other references and on very short notice). if they actually let the artists who make the designs that the model is based on do the artworks, it'd look much more "in-character", but have a less unified and polished look. it's not the artist that are shit, it's the way blizzard is using them.

Is Arthas shit or something? Some sites claim he's top tier but his damage just seems to be very lacking and his survivability doesn't seem to be stellar when compared to other tanks. Does he make for a remotely good pick in HL or will I just get called out? He is lacking the stuns that other top tier tanks have and the healing from Death Coil is honestly abysmal.
Shit sucks because the new costume they teased the other day is based as shit and I want to get really good with him, but it's looking like I might just only use him in QM.

He's great, it's just that he's another one of those Bruiser secondary tanks, and is more of a bodyguard than anything. But if you're just going to be hanging back and protecting others, something with a stun would do better.
That, and key targets nowadays tend to have either mobility or something to deter someone like Arthas from just walking up to them and bursting them. They're giving Assassins too much to work with, for someone like Arthas.

As someone whose favorite hero is Gazlowe, it fucking kills me. However my other favorite characters are Rexxar, Xul, Nazeebo and Rehgar. So I guess I sort of have it easy in that regard.
My bro's favorites by far are Kerrigan and Nova, and he's legitimately REALLY good at both of them, but he's so fucking upset over the butchering of her ever since they over-buffed her for no reason, then gave her a shitty rework to "tone her down for new players". Now that she isn't the same, and Kerrigan is outclassed hard by fucking everything, HL is barely even an option for him. He doesn't even want to play anymore. Sucks.

Having the whole 1000 poins for promotions with ranked points gained or lost always between something like 190 and 210 was a fucking horrendous idea. Literally all it accomplishes is giving you 5 198 point games and leaving you 10 points short. And even if you win a bunch of 205 point games or whatever, you still need to win the same amount of games to fucking rank up, because the 5 point bonuses will only add up to like 20, and it wont be enough to cancel out a game, you'll have 820 points and still a game out of your promo. Literally the only thing the ranked point system accomplishes is jewing you out of your promo by 6 or 7 points.

The point system is completely retarded if you aren't somehow in bronze while having 3k mmr so you are gaining like +50 per win. Would have made more sense to have a 5 wins + promotion game per rank and start you off with 1 win everytime you rank up and have grandmaster be MMR based
