If you already have Fletcher in your build then yes, you really really should go Fletcher3. If you are making a new character and want to play Cannon most people would probably recommend Archer2 Sapper2 Wugu2 Cannon as probably the most meta archer AoE build. It doesn't quite have the AoE damage Elememe provides but it's very strong, a bit more bursty, and more than viable to do the current PvE endgame with

About an hour per level in the average party. If you just want to hit R7 quickly though you can card all the way there if you pick up some of the higher level zones' exploration cards.
Basically the way it works is that you always have a good grind spot from lv210 onwards. You will grind with a penalty from 248 to 252 so if you like you can save some cards to skip that part (takes about 50m I think? can look it up), but other than that just blow through them whenever you feel like it. Even if you don't have any cards for the 248-252 part left it's still not a big deal, you just have to move on to the next zone slightly earlier or grind with a small exp penalty, it's not going to add more than a couple hours either way.

Yes, if you really want to you can do that. If you didn't grind Alemeth at all you will probably burn through a bunch of the cards you would usually want to save for the 248-252 jump, but it's not a particularly big deal and I did it on 2 of my characters. The more cards you save for that part the less you have to deal with the exp penalty, but to be perfectly honest it's not going to matter in the long run. Just do what you feel you want to do, if it's just getting R7 and your new skills as soon as possible go ahead

Nah, you don't have to bother with any kill quests at all. Just doing all the quests and explorations should usually be enough to get you to around 227ish if you didn't save a whole lot of cards before then and did minimal grinding in the 160 range. Doing that means you will have to stay at Evac/Igti for longer than you really want to since nobody is going to take someone underleveled to Storage, but losing some time there isn't a big deal in my opinion when it means getting your fun R7 stuff days earlier.

262-265 is just fine at Storage, there is no point in carding that. You don't hit an exp penalty of any kind at those levels, not sure what you are talking about. It's also not a big deal to not have any cards to get to 252, I've done it twice without now and don't think you even really lose any time there since carding early means you get to the better exp spots faster and can drop Alemeth much quicker.

Above all else the loot system in this game has really killed it for me.
Saalus Convent for instance is a complete joke as of now. You wade through what, five difficult bosses, and you only get one talt cube at the end? And you can only run it twice a day IF YOU PAID FOR A TOKEN?
Call me insane but I think every boss in that place needs to drop a cube. The recipes are all untradable and the chance of even getting what you want is astronomically low.
