Smite being bigger than ever is just because of the console players now. I don't hate console players or anything, but I don't give a fuck if there's millions of people playing on console when the PC version of the game feels like it's going down the tubes. Majority of the matches are shit, servers shit the bed constantly, and hell even our esports scene is dying. Now I never really cared for Smite esports, but when people that have dedicated years of their life to a game to the point where it's their fucking job to play it just up and leave that's kind of concerning. And they even have more connections with Hi-Rez than any of us do so they have a better understanding of what's going on with the game.
So maybe Smite isn't dying from a business perspective, but it certainly feels like it's hurting from a player perspective.

Someone in the last thread said it was only one guy, and three people who had already posted in the thread posted about paladins within a minute of eachother. Assuming it's not one mega autist that's posting form his computer, phone, and tablet all at once; that's 3. After which, the post received 4 responses mocking it, each with unique IPs new to the thread. There were more responses than that, but they didn't have the unique IP so there's no way of knowing if they had already responded to him. That means there's at least 7, assuming no mega autist. It's also fairly safe to assume not all were monitoring the thread at that given time.

Yes, as it should. Smite's much bigger. But several of the Palafags have said they play both; this general gets 80~ unique people on average and has trouble staying off of page 10, losing them would be a major Hemorrhage. Even if they're just shitposters, it's kept the thread alive a lot during non-peak hours.
