No. We all have favourites. I have a handful of favs but can play most heroes competently. It's just I know more/play better and feel more comfortable with some heroes more than others.
My most played hero has ~70 games played yet I have ~900 games played and every hero is at least level 5 for me. I also tend to play my "favourites" in ranked. Playing heroes you're unfamiliar and/or not good with in ranked is terrible.

My most played character from early Alpha right up until about 7 months ago. They added far too many heroes that absolutely shit all over him and do what he does, but better, and all of that bullshit.
He, Rexxar, Nazeebo and Xul (Only because of my boner for the Necromancer.) are the only heroes I really thoroughly enjoy playing. I could just play them forever and be happy with just them.

The only character I have left under 5 is Tyreal, and I think I hate Tyreal. I just can't enjoy playing him.
So I've only recently started playing Blizzard games , Overwatch being the main one. A little bit of Hearthstone since the beta. That being said I know 6ish characters in the entire roster. I've only been tracer, and while she's fun, I would like to try out some new people. I'm also relatively new to the genre, only playing smite for a little bit before, but tracer plays pretty much the same way in Overwatch, so I get her pretty easy. Any suggestions herowise? And with that, anything gamewise? Not looking to get a subscription, so I think that excludes Warcraft. I play loads of Marvel Heroes, which I know is created by Brevik, and is very similar to Diablo. Do I need to play the first two to understand the 3rd? And Starcraft? Don't know much about it. Just know it's human vs bug aliens in realtime strategy. Sorry if it's a lot, but I'm still getting used to this game

Problem with that is that mercs are inherently rather easy to kill. Something that increases their health would be even better.
Fuck it, it's Bribe but it increases their damage by a bit, their max health by a moderate amount, and because he's a fucking baller, he pays them to bring along more friends, doubling the amount of mercs spawned, who of course are also buffed.
4 fucking ores, 8 fucking knights, better get on that shit fast.

How about bribe at level 1 and merc lord at level 4
You could kill a camp, respawn it, bribe and then follow them on lane. This way they could add some other talents at level 1 and 4 if you didn't want to be too merc focused

diablo, wc3, and sc are great. if you like sc look into sc2 as it has some free to play features. probably best to wait for a full series bundle sale for <$40 to actually buy in.
diablo ii is near perfect. good to grind, good in short sessions, with just enough variety in characters and monsters to always feel different and re-playable. it's not a high skill game but it's far more intrinsically rewarding than d3's "find a better weapon" amateur shitshow design. with d3 you can save your money. about the only thing right in that game is the characters and they are represented in HoTS well enough. if you want to play it watch a playthrough on youtube.

Each slave would be unique and correspond to each of his Rs.
