So I have a secure garage, a slightly modified SUV, and a slightly beat-up armoured car. I also found an electric car outside.
I'm not sure what the best course of action here is. I think it's to replace the damaged parts on the armoured car and fix it up and expand it since refitting my SUV's Chassis to be 100% heavyweight would take far too long.
I'm also concerned about the engine situation, what type of power should I use for a 100% heavy vehicle.
I also have an electric forge ready to place and a vehicle welding rig ready to be crafted.
Any tips from more experienced Deathmobilers than I?

It's not so good on death swords since making up the -2 stat penalties is actually hard with the way they gain stats. That said they can really use the device boost.

In what situations would it be better to go for the Abyssal rune of Zot than bother with going through Vaults:5 or killing the fucking royal jelly, if ever? I do know that having some sort of devastating area of effect attack works for the Vaults ending and for dealing with the big jelly, as well as the usual escape plans.

You have stealth and regen, but not enough fire power to deal with the welcome party while door locked. You don't feel confident in teleporting in V:$ because much of your power is derived in situations where you aren't fighting groups or you have time to restore your HP/MP after each encounter. You know you can snitch the abyssal rune and have ways to deal with cancer stars, nexus crabs and OoD singleton enemies like ancient liches. For slime, you require very specific pieces for you to want it as your 3rd rune.

What a fucking unholy, beautiful massacre. I never raped that floor so hard before. The fact that some of the exploding enemies send their blood and chunks flying everywhere after they die was fucking wonderful as well.
I was playing a hybrid build with silence, invisibility and repel missiles too. Silence was specially helpful, at some point the noise brought 2 ancient liches and I just fucked their shit up.
All in all the best V:5 entrance I've done, closely followed by simply using Corruption with Lugonu upon going downstairs. 10/10 would do it again.

One, is there any point in using a Death Scythe? All the brands are pretty snazzy and you can get rid of the accuracy penalty by enchanting it.

Instead of being able to absorb every type of wand/staff/rod, they have 10 slots for each type that they can fill. Instead of mana regen their device charges recharge over time, so a Staff of Restore Mana instantly recharges some charges of everything, including the staff itself, so it's impossible to run out of charges for it.

The last time I played lab challenge you were always boxed into one of the two halves of surface structure by an SMG turret that would kill you via pain-stun. The only escape was to set the wall on fire, wait for it to burn down to rubble, and try not to kill yourself escaping through the smoke and flames.

They did make it so you'd spawn underground, but sometime recently they reinforced the walls to the point where you cannot burn/matchstick bomb/bash your way out.
So the only reasonable non-starvation option now is to just pick up a personal teleporter and blip out.

I believe you have access to both of those trees from the start - you'll need to spend a category point to unlock them, but you have the ability to do so right from the get-go (particularly if you're Cornac). Aside from that, if you need anything unlocked, I recommend the Ignore Race/Class Locks mod:

I began with Brogue, it's great and simple (also beautiful) game, but hard to win. My second game was nethack, which is really, really big, everytime you play, you learn something new. I think that Dungeon crawl is repetitive and boring, but still a good introduction to the genre. Poschengband is also great, but a bit grindy sometimes.
I also really like unreal world, but it isn't really a typical roguelike.

Depending on the character I might go up to D:9 or 10. Sometimes I find lair late and I end up to D:10 anyway. Sometimes it's a walk on the park and I can clean the floor before going in. Other times I've literally had to escape by going into the lair because it's so much safer than whatever is roaming the dungeon. rPois is the best thing you can have before going there, if you are doing good you might want to explore a little more to find it if you haven't yet.

Using a wand of digging/disintegration to dig a tunnel in the wall to funnel enemies in one at a time, zig-zagging the tunnel makes it even more effective because you can get it so only 1 enemy has line of sight to you.
