Okay, so first impressions of XCOM Plus.

It's XCOM.
There's a tutorial for newbies.
The combat and levels are well designed.
The cutscene transitions are good, albeit compressed and blocky.
Menu layouts in the barracks work and transition well.
Mechanically, the game is the same as its counter part. Probably one of the best SRPGs you're going to get on here.

Loading times are long. They vary from 15-40 seconds, from what I've seen so far.
Sound and images are compressed, and you can tell. If you're an audiophile by any means, this will drive you nuts.
Textures don't look as good as they could, but it's passable.
Frame rate drops during movement and certain levels of activity.
Faces don't move when people talk.
Now, this is a first impression, so I can't rate the whole game, but I'd give it a 7/10 so far. The bulk of the game is still solid, but the performance suffers. For <8 USD right now, it's a good deal.
Personal recommendation? Don't play Ironman mode. Just don't be a pussy. It bothers me a bit when dialogue stops to save the game every turn. Just seems clunky.

Anyone playing Gundam Breaker 3? Man I didn't expect this game to be such a clusterfuck in combat. The enemies come in packs of 6 or less but they have shit loads of hp and shoot out so much crap, the game's FPS becomes skippy since I have to constantly juggle the fuck out of them with my flashy moves (currently I use the double sabre tornado to bunch enemies up, then bullet rain them down before using infinite justice's mega lasers) because otherwise they just fuck my shit up.

So the early especially hardcore requires you to pretty much have already learned how to game the system. The easiest thing is to just fling *your weapon type* damage on your weapon and your arms and go nuts. It gets significantly easier later on after you've gotten a shit ton of parts.

Getting a hand of combat more now. This has some potential. I'm sure you all have seen it a hundred times in videos though.
Basically you have the option of just doing your attack or continuing on by pressing triangle. Everything you do goes according to the time table so enemies don't usually just stand there and do nothing if you take up too much time with actions. You have a limit of 3 actions but I dunno if thats in general or per character yet.

So the World/Word Reward system in Caligula is pretty cool.
Theres about 25 secret password things, and some with multiple parts, in the game. The only way you can figure this shit out is from drops from enemies, and these passwords have ridiculously low drop rates. (1/10000,) so the idea is to have everyone playing Caligula to come together online or something and share their passwords etc.

I'm only at chapter 2 right after the 3 mission qualifier lol. I was not aware of the difficulty bug. Are you sure I've been playing on hardcore without realizing? Just before I started posting I did a 'hot' mission where I fight with robota for the first time and tried the hard version (I selected the difficulty for the 1st time) and was getting chopped in half much much more than usual and I almost died several times (actually in red) when usually I have no such trouble.

I find the game speed runs partially off of what type of build you're using; funnel/bit builds with bazooka/machine-gun/laser spam will have significant frame drops and speed issues. My katana build rarely has frame-rate problems, unless I trap all 4 enemy players in a corner and proceed to slash the fuck out of all of them. It's a solid game, unless you're doing crazy shit and using the hardware to its utter limits.

After a quick check, it seems like you control each coven individually. I.e. you get up to 5 actions for the max of 5 Covens.
