Just finished leveling Saryn P recently, and modded for decent str/balanced in an effort to handle higher level content instead of just exterminate spore spam, but I got laughed out of a T4D, doing worse damage than the goddamn Frost. This was with 175% str, but only 160% range and 133% duration.
Where did I fuck up? I was focusing on spamming spores on each enemy spawn location to try to keep everything viral, leaving my spore covered molt nearby to distract enemies, and reviving people since I have more health than most of them. It just seems like once enemies have any real health to worry about the spores are garbage for anything but proccing viral. Should I be at max range and stop giving a shit about power str? Viral cutting their health in half won't give me any better team damage % but at least I'd be useful.

Tonkor is the best weapon in the game and available at MR5
Ivara's Artemis Bow scales with rifle mods.
Mesa's Peacemaker now scales with Secondary Mods. She is also stationary and you have to control a crosshair that get's smaller over time to target enemies for her to shoot.
I'd recommend going for Mesa since you like Revolvers, but getting Mesa is a giant pain in the ass.

Loki (invisible fast cheesemaster for qucik completeions), Trinity (infinite health and energy), Frost (shooty defense god with decent aoe nuke), Vauban (infested defense god an other uses), Ember (speedclear/afk farming god on starchart)
For weapon get tonkor and soma, build both for crit and you are golden, and free to try out other guys (you will build/lvl/sell most of them anyway)

If you're laggy enough BS uses your melee weapon (the clones won't) so you can use CL for instant kill. Sliding fast enough before activating BS makes the finisher animations cancel before they finish, speeding it up.
