It's recently come to our attention over at Paradox HQ that this thread serves as a dev HQ for one "Historical Project Mod" for Victoria II, unfortunately this mod violates several of our mod rules, namely 1) The User Mod may not have an external public forum, they can have one for their internal development use but not disclosed to the general membership here, nor allowing them to join, rule 7) No material from one Paradox IP(Game or DLC, includes any content in them) may be used in a user mod, unless that user mod can assure only people with that other Paradox IP installed can use it. If doing that is beyond the technical ability of the particular mod maker or it is impossible then they cannot be used. and rule 10) The Mod should be exclusive to the members of this forum and or Steam workshop.

Alright it's been several months since I last played any gsg and it seems HPM has gone through some more development so I want to try it out. I also saw the apocalypse 1836 mod was updated to work with HPM and I had a ton of fun playing that mad a couple years ago when it was first released.
Help me decide what country to pick and what goals I should have. I'm thinking either Italy or Japan (easily defensible from zombie hordes). My main goal will be to preserve my homeland, and then preserve as much of the world as I can. What areas of the world should I send troops to protect? What cultures/resources should I try and save from the zombies?

Johan is an Autist. He does not like how Paradox is dealing with their games. He doesn't like the DLC policy, he doesn't like the casualization, he doesn't like the SWEDEN YES-tier intrusions to his historical simulators. And yes, he privately laments on not making the games more like simulators and less like platforms for easy fun and DLC. He's a sub-par male specimen due to his physical health, but he likes his games. He just can't do anything but go with the company's flow, he is silenced and basically acts as a lunch-time bug-tester and balancer, a face of Paradox PR and a testemant to past age of Paradox GS games. He still occasionally plays EU2 and his earlier games, that is more we can say about the newer, more 'progressive' employees at the company. Johan is an Autist. He was the creative designer on Stellaris, nothing more. He had a more prominent role in EU4 as the lead for Game Design, but was heavily constrained by release schedule and Wester (CEO) influencing the development to create a more profitable platform for DLC and easy fun. Johan had an even bigger role in the development of CK2 as it's Producer for it's initial development back in 2012, and less constrained by a still transient Wester who had not discovered the perfect formula for profit. CK2, at the time, was an 'okay' game that many people could have seen being improved to be better than CK1, and more. CK2's DLC was not developed in any way by Johan, and look at the game now. Games previous to CK2 are either acceptable or more high up there in autistry, while Paradox was still a small (sub-40 employees) yet growing company and Johan still had a voice that was listened to. Johan is an Autist.

That rebel faction occupied all three of the stringy towns below
But for some reason the war won't end
Stringy town man can't raise any troops, he's lost the war, but the rebel army just keeps sitting in their province instead of somehow ending this war

Your mistake as Entente France is helping your Entente. Just sit behind your expanded fort system, and let everyone kill themselves. If you've built lvl 10 forts on all your border provinces, you can hold forever against everything.
Might not work as well in multi, with earlier wars, people who won't attack pointlessly and can actually do naval invasions, but in solo Entente France is fucking easy.

As America, I plan on turning against the Allies and conquering the world.
But here's my question. A bunch of the Allies have over the years given me a total of THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DIVISIONS in expedition forces. If I leave the Allies, I lose them. But....
If I stick them all in a corner of Siberia, and they start to die off, those allied AI nations will lose the manpower, right?

Organize your shit into massive fuck huge Field Marshals. Organize your elite motorized and armor units into armies that will punch through the lines.
Your goal is to kill off their army, for now. Make big ass circles to choke them off and then encircle them, but don't over extend.
And yeah, you've got some neat naval invasion spots. That's good.

I don't remember how the warscore worked in CK2, I played it long time ago but I do remember it has a ticking warscore. If he conquered I think most of the lands he'll eventually get his warscore to 100% and then finish the war. But it might be that for ticking score you need to conquer all of the lands, this didn't happen so his opponent will have ticking warscore so after a while it will end in a white peace.
If you don't want to bother with these I guess you can just ally one of them and join the war

what do you mean by field marshalls? I started playing this game last week but I was lazy and honestly I don't know half the shit I'm doing. I got a saved game on that part, I actually got almost to 38 and could barely advance in all those spots. I took some big cities but they moved the capital to fuck nowhere. I got very few tanks... the production is pretty slow. should I research military factory focus in the beginning?
