My entire guild are on WoW test center doing the scenarios. I think unless EA brings out something really good really FAST this game is going to be as empty as a lawyers conscience as soon as Legion hits.

...I'm a relative latecomer to the game. I'm a 65 Jedi Consular on Ebon Hawk. No guild.
For the most part this game has been a single-player experience. I honestly don't mind it, because I enjoy the story and that I don't have to depend on others in order to progress. I enjoy that they allow me to focus purely on my class quest and ignore all the filler, really brings out the best of the game and which is a feature I think other games should incorporate.
The game receives quite a lot of hate and I'm not sure why. The most common criticism seems to be "I wanted KoTRIII." I don't really understand that, a well-executed MMO is always superior to a limited single-player game in my opinion.
I'm excited to be up to speed with everyone else. I just finished with the Revan expansion and I'm about to start KoTFE. It's just my speed and I enjoy it. I like Star Wars, I like my character, the game moves pretty quickly, it's a solid experience.
Just thought I'd give my take on things.

the bulk of it is from the two pairs of champion adds that spawn in, and there's a hole you can jump down into to kill yourself and reset the fight so you can just farm it for massive amounts of exp

Why do mmo devs think people want to level through their game quickly? i just leveled a maurader and didn't do a single optional mission, and now this new LS DS will give me armor that gives my legacy permanent 50% increase basically. I wish there was an armor that gave me 50% less xp so I'd have some incentive to do side mission and actually explore the game again.

Yup. Pretty nuts. Probably quite doable depending on how long they give us, but still, what a time sink.
As it is, if I want to do it without re-subbing I'll have to start up on a new server, because I've already got my main server's non-sub character slots used up. Starting from scratch in such an inflated economy should be 'fun', especially not being able to afford the companion influence perks or inventory modules. Or color crystals, for that matter.

For the most part, you can play the at-launch content for free, though the various restrictions will certainly be aggravating. If you want to see any of the post-launch content, then yes, you'll need to subscribe for at least one month. That will unlock all of the game's content (up to this point) for you.
That said, before you even create your account, make sure to get a referral code from someone, and make sure to use it when making your account. That'll start you off with pseudo-subscriber status for seven days, which will make your play experience smoother.
A referral will also get you a few items too. That said, don't use the inventory module until you've either unlocked all but the last inventory row with credits, or your referral sub week has run out (since only subscribers can unlock inventory rows with credits).

Alright, so there was a thread on /v/ earlier today about in-game challenges, and one of the guys wanted a challenge for BF II. I told him to get 85 headshots in six minutes or less, and he said it was impossible.
I cannot into webm or youtube, but I do have a screenie of the post-screen, which shows my relatively badass score. Please ignore the bot as my Bait, there were some fillers in the match I guess.
It was a while ago, so my numbers were a bit off: I was only able to get 71 headshots in six minutes and forty-five seconds(instead of the 85 in six minutes I boasted about), but I still got 88 kills that match, which puts me at 80.6% headshot accuracy, if you're only counting successful hits.
