CoM and Re:CoM are both good, but they have a few gameplay differences that make people divided about which is the better version.
If you don't already have 1.5 though, GBA games are super easy to emulate and you don't have to buy anything. I'd say give the original version a shot first, and then if you find you can't get into it for whatever reason then look into giving Re:CoM a try.

With the exception of Namine, it looks like the feet have gotten smaller over time. Riku's feet in KH2 and 3D are normal sized and Sora's look like they're getting normal in KH3 render. And then there's the other adult characters who seem to have proportional feet. I think it's just the shoes that are big generally.

Because you'd also need tons of Cids. There are just some medals that don't need to be upgraded to 6*. You use them for the effect, not the damage.
If we're talking about some idealistic fantasy where you have all the Cids you need at your disposal and your cost limit is high enough then that's fine.

You're definitely missing the point. Necessary and ideal/optimal are often different things. You can easily get into tier 10 in the coliseum using whatever garbage you have. But to get deep into tier 10 and whatever other awful shit the game will throw at you like that darkside with +36 HP bars you want to have the best setup you can possibly have. In an ideal world you have 183 cost and infinite money to dump into the game allowing you to make everything 6* which gives you better stats. That's optimal. Not necessary for most of the game, but it's optimal.

When you upgrade a Keyblade to +21 it gets certain slots that give a bonus if the medal in it is a good character or an evil character. Lady Luck gets an evil bonus on the last slot, so Larxene would work best there.

Second place in NA is Ira who is leader of Unicornis. I believe he has the second most screen time. He's pretty comfortable in 2nd place in the rankings and has been in that spot since the game started over here.
3rd place has been battled out between Invi, leader of Anguis and Gula, leader of Leopardos. Invi has been in 3rd place more often though.
Dead last, and with the least about of players is Aced who is the leader of Ursus. Going by the trailer he seems to be the most outspoken and depending on how you take the trailer, the most aggressive.

So when I can combine them to make the illustrated medal, I have a 3 dot and a 2 dot 6* illustrated medal because they take the dots from the Meow Wows? Not everyone pulled good single-target Power/Speed medals, and Stitch can only do so much damage and even then, needs other specials to be used in order to reach his max multiplier. Remember that these are free medals, and the only other free medal that is damage-focused and single-target is Stitch. Obviously, better single-target Power/Speed medals exists in Jewel Draw but you're not guaranteed these nor even be able to Guilt them in the long unless you whale.
Now ask this question, are these medals good enough to use until you get lucky and pull something like KH Cloud, KHII BC Riku, Herc, and KHII Riku, let alone Guilt them? I am a F2P player and I think they are worth keeping around.

I use Wakka all the time, and I just decided to do Goofy A for fun when I got one of him. I want to end up Guilting all the common medals eventually, so this is a really really nice start.

Sora A is a great Speed AoE.
Tidus is another great Speed AoE but weaker than Sora A.
Stitch is mandatory on any Speed deck since it's so easy to Guilt and an amazing medal.
Young Herc is an okay AoE medal, it's basically KH2 Cloud but with a higher multiplier unless you get super lucky and get a bunch of KH2 Clouds. Paine is probably better to take if you need a high damaging Strength AoE though.
Goofy A is another decent Strength AoE, better than Herc since it's 2.02 compared to Herc's 1.89 or something. It's basically a Sora A but since Strength has such good AoE medals already it's not needed that much.
Wakka is amazing for the damage it deals and the low cost it has.
Donald A is another Goofy A or Sora A, but it's so easy to get magic AoE medals so it's not as high up there as Sora A was.
Selphie is a Magic Tidus/Wakka, so if you need a 1 gauge AoE that does okay damage you can go for her.
The three fairies(Rikku, Paine, and Yuna) are useless until you Guilt them, but after that they're really good if you need high damaging AoE medals.
Everything else is useless. So Jiminy, Hayner, Pence, and Olette are worthless, don't even touch them. Keep in mind a bunch of the medals can easily get outclassed just by doing a random draw, the Strength medals in particular, but for Speed and Magic it's a bit harder to get decent ones.

With the 1 AP running right now, just farm the final EXP level and throw away anything that's not gold or an airplane and use them on stuff even if it's not the same type. When there's no EXP level farm the 2.8 event's advanced stage since it drops a 5* Duck every time. When both of those are gone and the 1 AP event is gone it's either doing the airplane ducks like three or four times and waiting for EXP to regain or going to 63 and spamming it over and over in hopes of getting ducks. Blue ducks are the hardest to get by far, I don't think we had a decent way to farm them that didn't involve a really lengthy stage with a bunch of fights.

You could easily just throw them into a deck and use them while you're farming for stuff, that would be the easiest way to raise any of the ones that proc while attacking. Only if you use one of them as a base(I.E. You click Evolve on them). It's pointless since it's better to just get a 3 dot and 2 dot Meow Wow and have the Rikus and Soras as fodder since Meow Wow is infinitely easier to get and put orbs on.
